131, up 1/2 lb. The scale is just messing with me! Today was shot day. I will be getting my next vial of 10 mg Tirzepatide tomorrow which will make a total of 3 that I have stashed. If I go down to 2 mg/week for maintenance, that will last me 15 months! Hoping that dose will work well for me!
Woman's Bible study this morning was good. DH just got home from work early and DC1 hanging out as usual. Not much else planned for the day except going out for fish for dinner!

Wowee, that prednisone had me flying. I could not sleep last night (yesterday was the first 6 pills) but it has definitely taken the inflammation from my chest.
Very overcast here. We were hoping that even if it was cool, the sun would be warm enough to sit by the pool for a bit. We don't need to leave for the airport until around 5pm.
It wasn't the same trip it has been before, but we did get some sun, I swam a bit, and we enjoyed hours on the lanai. Better to be sick here where I could go outside.
Following your directive Liz, and wearing multiple layers so I can have a thermal Thursday.

Good day yesterday in that most activities were accomplished though we were rained out of the second of two games (we won the first). Now we need to reschedule that other game. What a pain.
Today I play golf with the ladies. Very nervous as we are playing the one portion of the 2 courses here that I have never played on as it is the most difficult. Multiple holes require shots over mangroves. I don't think I am using my good balls this time. They do allow special rules for our league in that if you get the first shot in the mangrove you can start from the other side of the mangrove with only a minimal penalty (that's to keep people from getting stuck there for a long time).
Not much else going on other than figuring out dinner. It will be cool today after a very warm day yesterday. It was almost 85 yesterday and the high today will be 68 with a brisk north wind (63 when I start golf). I will need to dress warm.

Ooh, that era of Mercedes convertibles are gorgeous classics!! This is a 2024 Mercedes CLE. It comes tomorrow!

DH has a red 1986 Mercedes 560SL convertible that's so sexy it should be illegal. We don't drive it in the winter, obviously, but it's a lovely go-out-to-dinner ride during spring, summer and fall. I could pick up 25-year-old guys in that car. And the old guys fall apart when they see it--it reminds them of their younger days when they were the ones doing the picking up. LOL!

Hey all! Finish up my last few days with my folks here. They go home Saturday. I bought a second car! Totally not necessary, but it was uncomfortable being trapped without a car when my dad was in the hospital and I thought, what the heck, why not have a second fun car? It's my first convertible and my first lease. It should be delivered late this week or next (they traded with another dealership).
This morning I had a call with the HOA board as our exit gate is failing and partially needs to be rebuilt. Later, I get my new doggie totem and then we are going to a patron's event for the Sedona Art Center at a local private golf club my folks have really wanted to see inside of.
We've finished 2 seasons of Bosch. It's really good if you aren't as behind the times as we are and enjoy cop shows.

My activities are generally short with breaks in between. Not like working 7-8 hours, then tacking on several activities. Wait until you are retired!

DD, so glad you are on the meds and on the mend! Diane S. believe me, the surgery tomorrow is a piece of cake. I was amazed by how easy it was. In fact, I can't wait until summer when I get my left eye done! This one is fast growing and my vision is getting progressively more blurry! YUCKO!
Ann, I wondered about the tariff business on your items, too. Will be interesting to see. Me, I'm still waiting for the price of gas to drop. It's done nothing but go up in CA since Jan. 20. Also, grocery prices have gone up here, yet again. I am not a doomer and gloomer, but I am beginner to wonder if some of my observations about the poli-social climate in the US are beginning to take a toll on my psyche.
I had a really, really, really disturbing dream cycle last night. So much so it disrupted my sleep for at least two hours. I remember waking up from the initial part of the dream around 4:30 AM and I was still "suffering" the on going ramifications of the dream at 6:30 AM when the alarm went off. General gist of the dream was betrayal by BFF. So huge feelings of loss and violation... I do so hate when the mind mucks with us in our sleep to such an extent. Just awful!
Liz, I always think your life sounds busy, but I guess it's no more so than mine. I teach all day today, then will go cut my dad's hair and have a visit, hit the gym on the way home, get home make dinner, feed dogs and then work on Buster before settling down to watch TV tonight. I have 3 client dogs booked for the weekend... So I don't know why your schedule seems so busy to me.
I've already managed 67 grams of protein today. Whoo hooo....
Well, lunch is just about over, so it's time for me to get ready for an afternoon of 2nd grade music!
