Happy Birthday to Peps! And hoping that DD will be poolside with her Mai Tai by mid-day (after a restful sleep)!
Yesterday the beach club visit got cut short as it was pouring at the beach though dry at the house. Apparently the intracoastal was the cutoff. VERY humid day, so hopefully the rain that did make it here last night will reduce that for today. Our Valentine's Dinner was quite nice and very not crowded LOL.
Today the friends who stayed with us over New Years on the way to the Keys are stopping in their way back north. So some light cleaning is on the agenda this morning in addition to water aerobics. We may rent with them for 2 weeks next year.
I was up at 5:30 am this morning after being awake for an hour, so still have more than another hour until Justice walking time. I do like this time of the day but it sure makes it difficult to stay awake very late. Have a Salty Saturday!

I also have difficulty distinguishing between types of hunger other than when I'm not hungry one minute but suddenly feel like I am when I see or smell a particularly appealing food.
Yes the Pooh/Piglet valentine seemed particularly appropriate to post. I feel like we all rely on each other here when we are having "Not Very Okay At All" days.
Congratulations to Buster and you!

Pink roses! Lovely!
Isn't it funny that we "see" temperature changes.

So sorry for DC1's struggles. Definitely tough to be a parent.

Liz, I LOVED the Pooh and Piglet post! What a perfect Valentine piece. Thank you for sharing that.
At a dog show today. Buster won me a beautiful red apron from Royal Canin for Best of Breed and $50 for winning the Owner Handled terrier group! The dog did me right for Valentines Day. Let's see what he can muster for my b'day tomorrow.
Shot day yesterday. 45 units of the old stuff, 30 of the new. I sure like the old pharmacy. I got an extra 110 units!!! I will sure miss the "leftovers". I don't notice any difference with the new med, so that's good - meaning no side effects from the change. I am trying very hard to notice the difference between real hunger, boredom hunger, emotional hunger, etc... It's still not that easy for me.
DD, enjoy Florida! You should be there by now, since it's 9:00 PM here in CA. Hope you can truly enjoy your vacation.
Not much else...
Sounds like DC1 struggles with perfectionism and severe anxiety. Not a great combination. Is DC1 also on the spectrum? Their behavior patterns sound similar to spectrum kids, teens and young adults I have worked with over my career.
Greetings all
It's sunny here right now. Rain to return soon. Nice to "see" a bit of warmth. I went to the studio first today since lately I have been bagging it after the gym. I worked on a few new things and feel better about it. Decided to go to the gym and walk. Assorted Beatles music.
Paula you are a treadmill beast! Way more than me. Good on you. Sorry DC1 is struggling. Sometimes you just want to shake someone and say "power through it" but that never works. Guess you just go with it. Dinner sounds good.
Ditto Liz's dinner. Enjoy. Glad the new clubs are winners It will make your games more fun
DD hope you are poolside at this very minute. And full of charcuterie! And a Mai Tai.
Not much else. DH brought me some pink roses. My fave. I sort of like leading a dull life.

131.2, same which I am happy with. Low calorie yesterday and it is shaping up to be the same today. Baked tilapia almondine for dinner. Breakfast was a protein bar and lunch was 2 string cheese sticks. I should try and get a Fairlife shake in!
DC1 left work again today and is going to take a leave of absence. I know mental health issues are hard, but I wish they could just forge through sometimes when things get tough. They mentioned that next week their manager would be at a training and it was the first time as assistant manager they would need to prove that they could handle it solo. That scares them, so they decide they need to take a leave for mental health reasons (my interpretation of the situation). This pattern has been present since they were much younger. Life (school, work, even things they enjoyed like solo and ensemble in high school) gets tough, hard or scary and they bail (find an excuse not to deal with it). I would like to tell them the pattern I see but feel like we have to walk on egg shells around them. Parenting adult children is hard!
Did the treadmill again today, 3.4 speed again with intervals of 2 and 4% grade for 40 minutes. 4th day this week for exercise! I'm pretty proud of that, I have been such a couch potato!

.79" of rain - welcome!
Mexican food was good last night, but I hardly put a dent in the ginormous portion. And I can eat. I brought a bunch home, but not sure it will reheat.
Only a grocery visit on the docket today. I'm making quiche and salad for dinner.
