Weight 119.8. Need to figure out something healthy and satisfying to make for dinner tonight.
Florida is in for a big hit from Milton. My friends on the West coast have evacuated as Port Charlotte is supposed to take a big hit. I have friends with places in Venice and Clearwater as well who aren't there but very fearful about what is coming. Where we live now on the east coast it doesn't look as dire though everyone is preparing by getting all the food and toilet paper available at the stores. They generally aren't evacuating. We live in Indian River County which is under a Hurricane Warning but we are on the edge of where it changes to a Watch. The spiraling winds should be coming mostly from the south which is good because our condo has no windows on that side of the building. Our lanai opens on the north side. It just occurred to me that the box I will be shipping likely is going to take much longer than usual to reach its destination. I will have to factor that in when choosing its contents.
Yesterday I did meet SIL and BIL for lunch. And over the course of the day I got the slipcovers on the chair and couch I moved here washed so everything looks fresh.
DH stayed here and finished cleaning his garage. He feels pretty good about getting this place in shape after letting it go for a lot of years. It was a very part time place for him before he retired, then after he retired his ex moved here for a couple of years. So over all those years stuff had just been accumulating in closets, cabinets, drawers, the basement, and garage. It's mostly cleared out now though some deeper cleaning is indicated in some areas. Luckily he didn't ignore the structure so the roof, siding, and bathroom were all replaced within the last few years.
Today I will continue packing for Florida though I have some time (we leave mid-day Monday). Have a topical Tuesday!

I haven't heard anything from my pharmacy but I did get a new order just 2 weeks ago. No idea what the future will be but have seen people commenting in FB that they can't find a pharmacy with Zepbound. Hmm...

Which restaurant has this delectable dish? We make it to Door County every couple of years.
Funny! :)

159 on the dot. Think I was there not too long ago!
At our favorite B&B in Door County. Good dinner out, which was really just apps and a glass of wine. It is only 6:30 and I'm ready for bed! Lol!
We did hike just a bit today, getting some pics of lighthouses. Colors here change a bit later so no great Fall pics.
More hiking planned tomorrow and then dinner at our favorite restaurant ever! They have this seafood dish with lobster, scallops and shrimp over a puff pastry with lobster cream sauce. Pure decadence! I'll probably only be able to eat 4 bites but they will be good!
Looks like my tirz will come from a different pharmacy this month and may be able to order more than 1 month's worth next month. Then will probably have to switch to sema unless adding the B vitamins is a viable work around which is doubtful.
Never heard of her but I looked it up after reading this!

Take advantage of those quiet times at the pool.
I only use 1 (maybe 2) settings on the new appliances- too complex!

A complete change in your life at 18. How wonderful and miraculous!
That 37 year old dryer is definitely way better than the new ones. I had a pair that was probably 25+ years old at my former place in Florida and they worked way better than the new ones.

Greetings all
We are still having sun. It's still fire season in California though not here. I dutifully did my walk at the gym today. No grunters but lots of geezers. I asked the desk guy about the least busy times for the pool and he said its mid day and early afternoon. One of my old lady friends wants to go there so we will plan an excursion. Must locate the pool shoes.
After that it was studio for a bit. Picked up newly finished stuff and took it up to the gallery. Crisis of cash there as someone paid with $100 bills. Sorted out for the moment. People keep trying to text me on the land line regarding cash issues. Not gonna work. After that I got some groceries and here I am.
Old appliances are indeed best. Plus they have simple controls. Our washer dryer are 22 years old now. Hoping they last. My first dryer was a used one I got for $50. Worked for years. Eventually the door would not stay closed so I had to prop it shut with a fireplace poker held in place by an old law school text book. No fixing it. We are lucky in our dinky town that there is a decent and honest appliance repair service.
Vaccuming in the dark CC! Sounds kind of kinky. But yeah I bet you find more dog fur.
Trying to think good thoughts for Florida. Looks like it will be terrible. I sure hope everyone pays attention and evacuates.
We watched the rest of Lady in the Lake. Had an interesting twist that I will not reveal. Good show.
Get home safe Peps. No place like home.
Liz glad house is coming together. I suspect adult children always think of parents homes as they did when they were kids and don't think about helping as much. Gotta speak up. You will handle it. Love the term "integrating the kitchen".
