Fingers crossed that the salmon dish turns out well!
Ruminating over stuff we can't control or that happened in the past is so depressing and unproductive, not to mention insomnia inducing. But hard to avoid sometimes (at least for some of us).

Sounds like you would be good at leading a group!
I haven't had my hair this long since I was a teenager and I was worried about the grow-out too but it wasn't too bad. Since I have my hair highlighted I had it cut about every 12 weeks which kept it from getting too ratty looking.

It's a rainy afternoon here, after a pleasant but windy weekend.
We enjoyed the play about Shakespeare and his villains. It was a mix of acting and lecture. It made me hungry to learn more, and go deeper. There is a program at the University of Minnesota that allows people 62+ to audit classes for $10 a piece. I really, really want to take an Art History class (well take intro to Art History again, like I did in 1983) and now Shakespeare is on my list. (Also a repeat as I did take intro to Shakespeare in 1981). How fresh I was in those years! I have the experiences of all the lives I've lived since then to bring new perspectives to what where youthful passions. (credit to Anne for reminding me we all live many lives).
DH is trying out something new: he's making salmon. Am I less than supportive if I am skeptical of the outcome? We'll keep that between us. Perhaps it will be a revelation. I think I just heard a bottle of wine being opened...
Terrible sleep last night, as I fell into a dark well of rumination. Sometimes what's dead and buried likes to rise again. Funny how what seems silly in the light of day can torment your mind in the wee small hours. Silly indeed, the ruminations have shrunk back to their normal size, and been set aside again, and life goes on. Looking forward to a good sleep tonight. It's always easier to sleep when I'm not going to work the following day. Tomorrow is mental health day aka getting a bunch of paperwork done at home.
149.5! Yay! I've officially lost my butt. The kitchen chairs are so uncomfortable to sit on. They need more padding since I've lost mine! I can feel my bones if I slip my hands under my cheeks while sitting! Not that I'm complaining! Still worried about muscle loss but obviously not enough to do something about it yet. I have no good excuse not to either!
DH's one day off until the weekend. DC1 hanging out on his day off too. We will go out for su****onight. I'll get my normal spicy crab avacado flower appetizer, so good!
Started out sunny but now it is cloudy and grey, rain expected. I'll need to get in the cleaning mood too these next few days. The whole house could use a through cleaning. The lawn guy came yesterday and did an awesome job of trimming back everything, he even edged and gave the lawn one good last mowing for the season! I think we will hire him again next year! He also does snow removal in the winter so he has a job while we are in Maui if it snows then.
Ann, I just can't get over those pub crawl pics! I know I've said it before, but I want to be you when I grow up! You seriously look half your age! I had to show DH your pics and he said she must have some good genes!
Liz, you look much younger than your age as well. The longer hair really does it! Makes me kinda want to grow mine out but I've had short hair most of my adult life and I hate that in between stage!
Cleaning and Bible study prep on the docket for tomorrow. I get to lead the woman's group again this week! I think the my friend is prepping me for my own group! I had thought I would start one in Florida if I couldn't find one. Now it might just be one here!
Wow! You got after it, both the weight and the cleaning! Good for you!
Cleaning is not fun but the results are quite satisfying.

217.4 - a new Tirzepatide low! Whoo hoo! I just might be below 200 by the end of February. That's a push, but it is possible with some focus and determination, right? I've got 14 weeks to work on it.
Taking the lead from DD and Liz, I decided that my day off could be dedicated to some deep cleaning! And deep cleaning I did. I vacuumed, mopped, moved furniture, dusted and then got a bug up my butt and decided to wash kitchen cabinets from the ceiling down. So crown molding has been washed, cabinets degreased and cleaned. Then it was time to tackle dog dirtied baseboards and rub marks on the wall! I probably was in heavy duty cleaning mode for about 6 or 7 hours. My hands are feeling it today. But boy, it feels great to have those things done. Ron has a pot luck at church tonight so I'm planning on doing some more cleaning! LOL....
6 months, 11 days until retirement.
Munificent and Merry Monday, peeps!
When I was in college my parents bought a new house about 5 minutes from the house in which I was raised. From the deck of that house we could see the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bride, the Richmond Bridge and the San Mateo bridge! Thus, what realtors referred to in our area as a Four Bridge view! My dream had the same 4 bridges!
LOL! You gotta take a picture of that guy and his horse and post it on TT!

"A four-bridge view" ... never heard this term, but I know exactly what it looks like. I so miss San Francisco, the Sierras, Yosemite, wine country (all of them), Big Sur, Carmel, the redwoods, Mendocino .... I have GOT to get back out there and spend a couple of weeks on and along PCH. Sigh!
