You're right. I made an appointment at a Minute Clinic nearby. I like I could pick a time, instead of sitting in an Urgent Care waiting room. Even if they don't give me antibiotics, I can get more prescription strength cough suppressant.

It's not fun to go to the doctor on vacation, but the sooner you go, the sooner they might be able to get you started on meds that will make you feel better! Think of it as every hour you wait is another hour of feeling lousy.
I wondered about that. My friend did end up on antibiotics for a week finally.

We have a friend who got the respiratory thing going around here and is still suffering the aftereffects 4 weeks later - the coughing and congestion are finally gone but he has very little energy which is unusual for him - he is in his early 60's and generally pretty hardy. But he is getting there.
Neither my grandmother nor mother sewed. Not even a button! I learned in school in 7 grade junior high. I can do most things though I hate doing piping so decided not to do it on these cushions. I don't do heavy duty alterations to tailored clothes either but will alter when it only involves taking in seams or raising hems. My mother used to ask me to sew on buttons so she didn't have to bring clothes somewhere else when the buttons fell off.

Weather update: blue sky, gentle breeze :) . The clouds burn off fast.
I did another telehealth visit, which is free with my health insurance. Last time the diagnosis was a virus, treat symptoms. This provider is concerned I may have the beginning of pneumonia, and I need to be seen in person. Sigh. I'll see how I feel as the day goes on, and if the fatigue continues, I'll go to a Minute Clinic.
My Mom, my Grandma and Great Grandma: all amazing seamstresses. Me, amazingly bad. I think mechanical skills and good visual spatial skills are required to sew well. Liz you are handy with tools etc and can fix things, so it makes sense you can sew. What a great skill. I can sew simple things like tablecothes, and valances. I can cover pillows, but no pretty piping, that's too much for my skills. I actually prefer to do things that will have hidden stitches by hand because I am in a constant war with the bobbin, but some things require top stitching that only a machine can do nicely.
I am just not getting well. Still coughing, still conjested. I can obviously rest in the sun, but get winded when I swim, and when I walk. I bring a chair in the bathroom to sit while I fix my hair because I get too tired to stand the whole time. This virus is a killer. So glad I am not working. In fact, everyone is at home in Lakeville, they had to do a flex day today because of the cold, so school is online. It's asynchronous, meaning we post assignments on our platform and remain available via email. One of my friends is also on vacation (she's in Savannah) and she cancelled her personal day to save for later. She is keeping her computer with her, and is going to teach today from Georgia. If I wasn't a short timer I'd probably do the same sitting by the pool.
We had a nice dinner at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. (Formerly known as Downtown Disney). Some of the restaurants are very meh, and rush you through expensive meals to flip the table, but we really like this one. Afterwards we walked over to House of Blues. They have a patio with music every night. The music is always top notch. We couldn't stay for the last set though, because it just got too cold.
Its overcast right now, but the forecast is for partly cloudy, mid 70s. We have no other plans yet today. If it remains overcast we'll probably go browsing (slowly) in some of the shopping districts around here.
LOL - always good to have an escape hatch!

I call the guest bed my escape hatch if the snoring gets too much.
I'm so glad you and DH had a discussion about the competitiveness. Communication is so important!
How cool that you can sew! I have several things that I would like to downsize but will have to pay someone to do it and that may not be worth it!
Weight was 131.4 this morning which surprised me because yesterday was a super low calorie day (just less than 600). I wasn't hungry at all and skipped lunch (which I know I shouldn't do) so my whole day consisted of a protein bar for breakfast and a bowl of soup for dinner.
Temps are bitter cold (-22 with windchill). I'll be staying inside! The poor dogs have to quickly do their business and dart back inside.
DC1 still off work (mental health leave) and hanging out at the house. Hope they feel like they can return to work soon, their employer has been really good with accommodations but I worry it won't last forever.
Plan is to go on the treadmill today, especially since I didn't yesterday. Arm work is in order too! Poor night of sleep last night due to DH snoring. I even left and went into the guest room!

Hoping for some sun today for DD and her DH. Also because we are relishing a day with nothing on the calendar so may go to the beach club. It seems like a lot of people here try to fill every day with multiple planned events but not us. We have found that one per day at most is our preference. Maybe the other folks are missing work?
You are correct that DH is a gem. He was very apologetic yesterday for being so competitive and critical.
So Peps got me intrigued with those body composition scales. DH tripped over the main bathroom scale I had been using and broke it so I have been using my backup one. I did some research and decided to buy a less expensive one than the Hume. Too much $ for me LOL. I'll let you know how it works but I got this one after seeing it rated high on several reviews comparing scales: RENPHO Scale
Yesterday the breeze was quite chilly here so I did some sewing. I covered the dining room seat cushions with the same fabric which is on the new living room chairs. Lightens up the dark dining set and ties it to the other end of the room. I still have a couple of pillows to cover and will take in a few clothing items that are too big to wear before I put the sewing machine away this week. I did modify a skort so I have it for golf. It was a bit loose when I bought it on sale a year ago but I had to take it in about 3-4 inches at the waist LOL. I have a couple others in the same state. I like them so they are worth adjusting rather than ditching. I have always had a sewing machine to use for such things since I was a teenager. I keep one up north and one here in Florida.
Probably the last of the chili for dinner tonight if DH can stand it. I love the stuff and he loves the taste but the fiber can be a bit much for him ;)
Have a turnkey Tuesday!
