Yikes! 12 degrees in AZ! I see New Orleans has snow! Crazy weather everywhere (except on Maui today where it is mid 70's and sunny).
Sunset cruise was fun. Lots of whale activity and sunset was pretty. The appetizers were only okay. The one we went on 5 years ago was great, they had shrimp, sushi and pork sliders. This one had skewers with one lone meatball and pineapple chunk and another skewer with a mozzarella pearl and cherry tomato. A few cut up veggies and fruit too. Unlimited ****tails but we are not big drinkers, so the one Mai Tai was enough!
Glad our last day is sunny. Pool time will be had and we will go back to the bar/restaurant that had live music and fun island vibes for an appetizer dinner! This has been an amazing vacation, so glad we booked it!
Diane, sorry for bitter cold! You are brave to venture out to socialize! Good for you!

I woke up early when the heat began kicking on when it got to 62 in my room. It sounds like a jet taking off. Then I got to worrying about the fact that the irrigation was set to come on at 8am and it would still be 18 degrees then. So at about 7, I got up to go outside to change the timer to come on at 2pm. Brr. The feels like temp was 12.
I think my prescription issue is a Costco one. Their system isn't liking the combination of no insurance and savings coupon. I'm on hold with them now. Funny how these things work for months and then don't.
Anyway, more sun today and hopefully a trip to Costco. I may need a nap later!
Take care everyone!
Liz, chances are that your friend with COPD is swollen due to the steroids that her docs likely have her on. It's a pretty standard treatment for severe COPD. My deceased sister who had COPD suffered from all of steroids' side effects, including weight gain and water retention, irritability, anxiety and mood swings. It can be a rough treatment course.

Good morning! It's so cold here, school is cancelled, due to dangerous temperatures. It's pretty much statewide. I'm tucked in my jammies still, drinking tea, watching a local talk show.
We are going to a friend's house for dinner tonight. It might be too dangerous for school, but not for socializing.
The movie The Last Show Girl was very captivating, and left me with a few questions. In the evening we watched the Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix. It was also very interesting. So a productive viewing day. : )
I love Chili! I may need to make some for the upcoming weekend.
Your comment reminded me of how I felt when I went on a fully flexible work schedule about a year before I actually retired. I worked long days on Monday to Wednesday, then short days on Thursday and Friday so I could do things with DH. On the first Friday, I stopped work at 11 then we went to lunch. We were sitting at a bar having wine and I felt like I was playing hooky LOL.

My DH likes Ancient Aliens too and The Curse of Oak Island where they are just on the brink of finding treasure but 4 years later they are still soooo close!
