118.2 I realized that I will be north on my normal shot day. I don't feel like bringing it since I will be back home by 10 am the following day so I will just delay for a day.
I have started to pack for the short trip. If I have extra room I will bring some gifts I purchased here to go to SIL's where my ordered stuff is going. That way we will have less to bring the following week. I will pick it up the day after I return north.
After I get home I will only have 5 days before we go north for Christmas. Need to figure out what day to do Christmas with DH and I want to fit in a small ****tail party with a couple of neighbors and friends. I wish my missing chair would turn up... Time to call again today.
Today is going to be a beautiful, warm day. Justice has an appointment with his new vet and DH has an echocardiogram. Possibly a beach club visit in between, then dinner at an outside restaurant on the beach.
I wish the holiday felt more restful but I don't think that is happening anytime soon. Have a totally calm Tuesday!

It never occurred to me that people working in schools actually weren't supposed to leave mid-year but now that I think about it it makes sense. Back in time we didn't see staff leave mid-year except for health reasons. It does sound like a good time to be leaving. Sometimes life makes certain decisions like retirement easier.

Ron and I watched Man on the Inside and LOVED it!!!! We watched an episode or two per night over a week's time. I'm quite happy another season is in the works!
Classroom teachers seem to be the only ones that adhere to the old school year rule where I am. Support staff - even credentialed - seem to come and go throughout the year without a thought to consistency for the students. At one school we are on the THIRD speech pathologist for THIS school year!!!!! And this one only sees them remotely on Zoom while a para sits in the room with the student. WTF???? I want that gig! LOL!
Yes, usually just twice a year for the full drain and refill. Weekly chems much like a pool!
LOL on the dogs and pot roast. When I made slow-cook pasta fagioli a couple of weeks ago the dog had to smell it all day too. He seemed ravenous at dinner that night.

As I recall a Dexa scan also measures muscle percentage? I had one after I reached my VSG goal. That was also when I had the test that measured how many calories I needed for maintenance. I bet your muscle percentage will be much higher than average!

Greetings all
Oops, missed yesterday. I was on gallery duty all afternoon and came home and drank wine and reheated the pot roast. So yummy. Comfort food. What I like about pot roast is that you just put it in the crock pot with onions and such and then leave for 6 hours. Of course the dogs get bites since they have to smell it cooking all day.
Anyway the gallery day was not too bad and we had some sales. I discovered the rest of the cookie package. Once again, a crime of opportunity. I actually got bored enough to sweep the floor.
Today's mission is to pick up stuff from kiln opening and get it to the gallery. Hopefully payroll will be ready soon and I can avoid multiple trips.
Sounds like everyone is in the throes of Christmas. (autocorrect wanted "shoes"). Liz that is an interesting family dynamic with the SIL. To each his own. Many years ago I met a woman who was in her 50's and did not have an SSI number. She lived in the house she grew up in and kept house for her bachelor brothers.
Bonnie glad you are feeling better and well enough to have a visitor. Sounds like the "Cup of Christmas Tea". Enjoy'
Tee Hee CC on the Manheim Steamroller. We saw them in Omaha a zillion years ago. Sounds like they are doing the same thing 30 years later. Do they still have a slide show of trees and the tiny piano from the ceiling? Glad Kirby gets dog camp.
I must get serious about Christmas which for us is not much. I do have a couple of things to order and need to get on it. Meanwhile I will sit and drink coffee.
Ann glad you had fun with your sisters. I got an email from a high school friend who talked about how closely our high school group was rooted together. Made me think that these are people on earth I have known longest except for siblings. So yay for siblings.
It is astonishing how little earthquake damage there was considering the level of the shake. Might be the nature of the quake or that everything that was going to fall down has already done so.
Time to do something. Like get another cup of coffee....
