I liked Evil. So sacrilegious, but there is something quirky I like about it...
Greetings all
Still more sun. We are beginning to wonder when it will rain because if it does not, price will be paid in the summer. Still lounging about and enjoying control of the tv while DH is out to lunch. I still like news shows even though it is depressing. So when I get moving I will get hair washed and go to the gym and waddle.
Looks like the new gallery lease has the things we asked for. So just a little more review but it may be done.
Yay DD, I had heard the VA hiring freeze was partially rescinded and so glad your DD was included. Such important work.
Liz what is with all this cold in Florida? You are valiant to not try to ditch the tennis event. Yep your DH is lucky to have you. Both you and Paula have done so well at getting on with life after tough times. And stayed skinny!!
Peps how fun to teach Beethoven's 5th to little kids. When we were kids we learned a lot of classical music when it accompanied cartoons! Is that still a thing? We had an old "Peter and the Wolf" record that taught all the different instruments and how they sounded. Bet you have a lot of good hacks. And furthermore muscle weighs more than fat. Muscular people are heavier. Its a rule.
More balloons CC. Yay. Hope you guys get some rain soon.
Thanks for the tv recommendations. We always need new stuff. I cannot believe how many episodes of Ancient Aliens there are. There are only so many pyramid astronaut carvings.....

Well, I was a tad disappointed to not have lost anything this week. I weighed in at 213.6. Last Friday was 213.7. C'est la vie!
However, I am kicking azz at the gym and that does make me happy. Yesterday I did legs, legs, legs.... Leg presses, hack squats, Romanian Dead lifts, leg extensions, calf raises all followed by 25 minutes on the elliptical logging in over 1.5 miles! I think my fat level is going down at least. I can see it in my limbs and there seems to be a bit more looseness in the torso skin. Good signs of fat loss, even if the scale isn't moving.
I'm cold here in CA with temps in the upper 30s in the morning. I can't imagine dealing with the sub zero and freezing weather most of you are dealing with! YUCK! Really the only drawback to being thinner - I get cold.
I meet with the nutritional/eating disorder counselor today. Often that puts me in a positive mood with renewed enthusiasm for dietary scrutiny and behavioral changes. Sometimes it makes me want to eat cookies and ice cream, too. LOL!
We are currently watching Season 3 of Evil. It finally came to Netflix. Ron started watching OMITB, but I could not get into it. I need to start from the beginning. I think I've mentioned Ron watches a lot of tv. I tend to tune it out. Too much still to do in daily life to be watching much tv.
I have 82 work days remaining. It's getting real and the senior-itis is truly taking hold. Not a good quality in a teacher! Luckily, I know my craft and am able to "wing it", but it is much better to head to class with a plan that has too much, rather than too little! But I can see that this week the kiddos enjoyed a little impromtu music fun. The second graders loved using Beethoven's 5th to learn about dynamics. It was probably more fun than the "lesson" anyhow!
Okie dokie!!! Fun and Festive Friday.
I LOVED Man on the Inside!!!! I am excited for Season 2. I actually think your dad would enjoy it. It is quite lighthearted even though it deals with some serious issues.
I could see that. I couldn'****ch/read The Deep End of the Ocean when it was bestseller, because the plot involved the disappearance of a little boy, and my son was 2 years old at the time. I started reading it and thought, no, I just can't go here. Same with The Lovely Bones. DD was a young teenager when that came out. As your Dad said, it hits too close.
So happy that DD is getting her dream job after all! Yay Allie!
You are correct about our Act 2 being grand! DH often mentions how blessed we are to get a second bite at the Apple!

Claudia and I wanted to watch that! My Dad said it hit too close to home given his age. So I will have to do that on my own!
We haven't started the new season of Only Murders in the Building. We need to get on that. I can't remember if you said you watched Man on the Inside. It kind of has OMITB vibes. I loved it!
Can't wait to see pictures of the totem! Sorry about the birds - so sad.

More sun. Driest winter on record! We had some balloons this morning. I haven't seen them in a while, so that was nice.
We finished Only Murders (which ended with a set up for another season - Yay!) and have moved on to the second season of Night Agent on Netflix. Preposterous, but entertaining.
My totem pole is finally expected to arrive and be installed tomorrow. Exciting.
I need to plan dinners for the next 3 days, then grocery store.
Aw, big hawk and a quail just collided and died after hitting my living room windows. I hate that!
Not much else going on here. Take care!
