DH took off his bandage today as instructed. There are steri strips over his stiches. The stiches look good, and seems like it could be minimal scarring.
I had terrible dreams last night that my son was being roofied, then robbed. I don't know why my brain has to go to these dark places. In the middle of the dream, I was thinking, wake up, wake up, this isn't really happening. It took me a bit to shake it off.I sometimes have these type of dreams when I haven't heard from one of them for awhile, but we just texted with each other yesterday.
Looks like it might actually rain today! Still warmish, which I greatly appreciate.
I brought home burgers for dinner, as I thought I'd give DH the night off again. Best wife ever?
I'm glad that your DH feels better today. And I am sure your new church will work out and provide you with other opportunities to serve.

If you FEEL thin, then you are thin! Much better than when some of us sabotage ourselves with thinking the opposite.

154.5. Back down a smidge. Today was shot day. I only had a 3 mg dose left in my bottle and my next bottle is from a different pharmacy with very different dosing (inject 20 units instead of 50). I decided to just do the 3 mg (30 units) of the old one so I can tell how the different compounding pharmacies compare. One thing I don't like about the new pharmacy is that the best used by date is 11/23/24. I won't even get a full month in before that date is here and I think this new pharmacy sends a six week supply. My old pharmacy compound was good for at least 6 months.
Bible study today was good. As predicted I won't be able to continue with the Stephen's Ministry with the church we are leaving. I'm sure God something else planned for me at the new church!
DSD and fiancé rolled in at 1:00 am so it was a short night. Grocery shopping for the next few days done! Time to get dinner prepared. Need to eat at 4:30 so DH can get to his 12 hour night shift. No more vertigo symptoms thankfully!
Not much to report today. Weight was virtually the same - up a few tenths. I can't seem to break 223. Sheesh.... Soon, I hope, soon. However, I still FEEL thin. That counts for a whole hell of a lot in my book.
Sold the last two seats from the Transit! Yay! Nothing to store!
Molly's final insemination is today. Then it's fingers crossed. If we indeed do have pups, I may go with a Christmas Song theme for names, rather than the next letter in the alphabet, which is R. Though I do kind of want to name one of my dogs Kairk's Radio Flyer... love those classic red wagons! Did you know you can still get Radio Flyers? Christmas theme name if I keep a girl could be Kairk's Santa Baby and I could call her Eartha. See, warped mind...
I need to create a to do list for next week. I've got so much going on, I'm putting things on the back burner that should not really be on the back burner. Without a list, I'm not going to get things done. It'll be nice when I'm not working so I can get my life chores done. Though I think I'm going to need a list for that, too!
Visited with Dad yesterday. Helped him with his phone and iPad and tried to engage him in to having conversation. He is having trouble separating reality from his dream and imagination worlds. I just go with it, but it does leave me feeling a bit sad for him. I remind myself that he is no longer aware of the dementia and he is childlike in much of his thinking and he believes his stories. It's the world in which he now lives. He knows no different now. I have taken to asking questions so he can expand and keep speaking. Words seem to be slipping away, so I encourage any kind of conversation - fantastic or not!
After visiting with Dad I prepped for and had a 2 plus hour board meeting on Zoom. It was my first meeting as the prez of the national Airedale club. After that I trimmed on Buster for about 75 minutes. Then fed the dogs and finally settled into eat dinner around 9:30 when Ron got home from choir practice. Got to bed around 11:30... Up at 6:30... Feeling pretty good today.
Let's have an adrenaline day... so Thrilling Thursday peeps!

Up very early this morning as my smoke alarm batteries were dying at 5:30AM. Just what you want is to be bleary eyed on a ladder in the dark! I read that it always happens in the middle of the night or very early morning because as the temp drops, the battery charge levels drop. So a battery on the edge will inevitably fail around the coldest part of the night. Oddly, this was the same one that died/malfunctioned in early summer where I ended up getting dozens of calls from the alarm company about a fire. I hate alarms with a passion, but it's a stipulation of my homeowner's insurance.
Since I was up, I got out early and got some new perennials in the ground. I hope they live! One was very puny. These I ordered online. First time I've tried that for garden plants...
I also worked on emails for the HOA board. Blech.
I am seeing my friends later, but nothing else of urgency today.
Take care, friends!

Weight 119.4. Today is shot day. The 2.5 mg of tirzepatide once a week seems to be just right in keeping my hunger/weight in line. I do notice that my joints are a bit more sore though. I still have enough backup of it for about 2 more months and am hoping I can get at least one more month filled with the compound. That will delay me having to get it started with Lilly Direct.
Today is DS' last full day here as we drive him to the airport at 5:15 am tomorrow. We will probably take him to lunch at the Beach Club one more time, then tonight we are going to a nice restaurant in town. We need to start cooking again as we have been here for almost 2 weeks and haven't cooked yet.
We have an appointment to look at cars this afternoon. Our one car here is a low 2-door coupe. Difficult to get in and out of, impossible for some people our age or older to sit in the back seat of, and unable to carry anything of size in. Plus it is 8 years old. We are probably getting a small SUV. I love having a new car but hate going through the buying process.
It is still dark here at 6:45 am. I feel like I should be glad to have more light in the morning when the time changes but I really hate the disruption of routine when it does.
Have a thriving Thursday!

Wow! I don't remember if I ever could do that, but I do have a friend who is in her mid-80's who can.
