Starting to dread the thought of the upcoming time change. It is always difficult for me to adjust. I have a tough enough time staying asleep until 6:30 am. I am afraid I will be up before 5:30 am and exhausted by 9 pm. I need to start pushing back Justice's eating time too so he doesn't feel starved.
My plan today is to get started with water aerobics finally, do some food shopping, then be here for the guy who is going to replace the garage door opener. It is 16 years old so I guess it is time. We are actually cooking at home for dinner for the first time since we arrived 2 weeks ago.
Have a marvelous Monday!

Great to make a home together isn't it? My DH says he doesn't care what I do but that is false because he definitely has opinions on what he likes or not. For instance he didn't like how dark the living/dining room was here. It was dark because it was painted in very dark gray and the paint soaked up all the light, plus the furniture was all dark leather and dark wood. Now with the wall half white, a light paint above and a white couch it is nice and bright.
I thought the BMW emblem was showing LOL. DH and I both like the make. His last 4 cars were BMWs and my last 3 convertibles up north were. So though we considered other makes we felt most comfortable getting a BMW. An added benefit is that though the car is 7 years newer than our other cars, the instruments/features are still quite similar. The unparking isn't great in the car - it can only back up by following the same path it took to get into a spot. In other words you can't come out facing the other direction. But I think that when it perpendicular parks it actually backs in so you can drive right out - we shall see when I try it out.

We are also not fans of dealing with trick or treaters and dogs. Luckily there aren't any here. I have carved a pumpkin periodically after my kids became adults but not this year since I didn't get one for decorating.

I finally understand what kind of car you guys bought, Liz. I didn't know it was a BMW until I looked up "X3". DF has a Touareg, which I love, but it would definitely be too big for you. I love the self-parking ability of a car--can't wait until we have one. Parking and unparking (is that a word?) is definitely one of my skills that has diminished over the years.
Yesterday I drove back to Kentucky with a fully packed car. It was a long day, but I had no tire or other car issues. DF has medical appointments this week, which he wants me to be present for. Today we'll be looking at cabinets for kitchen, closets, bathrooms, etc., a big TV, drapes, etc.--none of which we'll buy, but just taste-test and educate ourselves about. I think we're going to have a lot of fun making this house our home. DF is delighted--he's in his element.
Boy, it's dark o'clock in the morning these days. More coffee. Y'all have a good one. :)

Regional food favorites vary so much around the U.S. I don't even like Tater Tots with Tater Tots. But then I love fried okra and I'm pretty sure it's not a fried-and-dripping-in-greasy cornmeal veggie that many Americans would find appealing--much less with ketchup on the side. Gee, when I type it like that it sounds horrible to me, too. LOL!

That does sound good!
I haven't made lasagne in ages but I make a good one. May need to impress DH with one LOL.

I'm not sure yet if we're handing out candy. I get tired of answering the door, and get a sugar crash because I keep eating the fun sized bars. Even with Wegovy on board, I can manage a decent amount of candy. The trick of trick or treat is just to not have it around. Maybe we'll buy just a few bags, and once it's gone, it's gone. The littlest kids usually make the rounds earlier.
154.1. Down again but for how long? I had 2 glasses of wine at the show last night so might have been a bit dehydrated this morning!
Good church service at our new church this morning! First time in a long time that the worship music brought me to tears!
Otherwise, a pretty lazy day today. DSD, fiancé and DC1 all hanging out today doing a puzzle on the kitchen table. Only DC1 staying for dinner which is leftovers (my favorite? Not!)
Tomorrow I?m taking the kids (adults really) to the Pumpkin patch about an hour away. They have a petting zoo, homemade baked goods (the best apple pies), apples, pumpkins, a little coffee shop and a build your own caramel apple station! Should be fun. The kids want to carve pumpkins later this week. Nice to have some young energy in the house. We are bah humbugs about Halloween and usually go out to eat and keep the lights off so we don?t get Trick or Treaters. They honestly make the dogs too nervous!
