120.2 - I think steak raises my weight a bit as the last time I went up this much in a night was also after steak.

I had my hair highlighted (and slightly low lighted in a few places) and cut by the new stylist yesterday. Half the price of the last time I went to a place here. That salon was located in a posh area on the river. This one is in a more relaxed town just north of here in a strip mall on Route 1. Regardless, she probably did the best cut and color I ever remember having - I told her what I wanted in basic terms and she made some suggestions. Wow does she know her stuff! My friend *****commended her described her as an artist. And so nice - early 40's with 2 small children and very family oriented. She is originally from a small town in Massachusetts near where DH grew up.

By the time I was home it was after noon so DH and I went to a restaurant on the river and split a sandwich, then took a walk on the edge of the river and onto a small peninsula dedicated as a Veteran's memorial. Very beautiful and peaceful. We will have to take Justice for that walk next time.

It is actually nice but warm here this morning. It is supposed to be windy (as always these days), quite warm and thunderstorms in the afternoon. A front just before my next golf tournament tomorrow morning when it will be 60 and windy. I swear I have been cold every week when I have played but thought that since it was 2 weeks since last time it would be warmer. Nope!

Today DH has golf so I will walk Justice around that timing and Water Aerobics. We have a wine dinner tonight with seafood and paella on the menu.

Have a warming Wednesday!

Always dangerous to go into a food store when hungry (or without a list for me).

Greetings all

Overcast today. Scrabble was fun even though I lost two and one one. All very close. We discuss the events of the day including local stuff. One guy knows all the live entertainment options. Good to know. After that I stopped at the store for a few things and made a few deli impulse purchases. I need to remember not to go to store hungry.

DH is at our new dentist. It will be interesting to see how he likes her. I have a lot of work scheduled so I will be interested. I asked him this morning what was going to be done and he did not know. Geez. Well Bonnie I am pretty sure he did not swallow a crown. What a fright for you!

Liz glad that appointment is scheduled and fairly soon. Sending good vibes.

So Ann, you are now living in Motel Hell? Sorry for that. Sounds icky plus sick. If you do eat worms at least add sour cream or bbq sauce. Or better yet get well and go home. Once I stayed at a pretty cruddy biker motel while at a dog show. My dog went under the bed and found a greasy steak bone....

Jeepers Peps are you really thinking about dual citizenship? What is the world coming to? Wise of you to count your blessings. We all have a lot.

Finally got the final gallery lease doc. This started last June. These people are nuts.

DD sorry to hear you are getting one of the famous midwestern storms. Stinging rain! Hope they call the whole day. But freedom is close!

Well time to do something useful such as go to gym. Two little eaglets are hatched in Big Bear and they are priceless.

I think this weather system impacting us all is covering a huge swath of the country. It's raining here, and predicted to become snow after sundown. It's cold, stinging rain right now at 39 degrees. So far our school system called a 2 hour late start. Yeah!!! I can watch Colbert and I get to sleep in tomorrow. If the 42 mile an hour wind does show up, they might have to call the whole day.

Peps, what EU citizenship can you apply for? I have friends who would meet the requirement for Spain, and another for Switzerland. Another friend Italy, because their grandfather was born there, but a friend whose grandmother was Sicilian could not. Apparently in Italy, citizenship flows from the paternal line, not maternal. I once checked out if we could repatriate to Finland, but I'm 3rd generation. My Dad could though, all of his grandparents were born in Finland, and you only need one. And I am so, so sorry you are even having to think about the rise of hate. Those fanning the hate: Despicable. And many other things that will just get censored if I type them out.

When we travel abroad, we are often mistaken for Canadians. We joke that we are going to wear maple leaf lapel pins in future travels. But maybe we're not joking. Where will we be from? Thunder Bay, just across the border from Minnesota.

Liz, good news your DD has her biopsy scheduled. I wi**** could be sooner so you all could have the answers you urgently need.

Miss 150, I would love to go to your church sale. I bet it is full of treasures.

We had an awesome phone call with our son and his girlfriend last night. We have a weekend visit planned for the 14th, and his girlfriend shared plans they were making and asking if we would like this or that. Her options were so thoughtfully and clearly tailored to our interests. DS is so happy. They each have their own apartment right now, but have signed a lease for a shared apartment in July. I like they are planning for a future together.

Eating worms, well at least it is protein. I've done The Stay America Hotel in the past and it is exactly as you describe. Hope you both feel better soon, and the Stay America Hotel is quickly in the rear view mirror.

128.6. In my range! Yippy!

Upped my speed to 3.5 with 2-5% grade intervals today for 40 minutes and it felt good! I might increase the grade a bit by the end of the week. What I really should do is repeat the hard DVD with all the squats that made me sore for days!

Other than exercise, the day has been full of internet scrolling (such a time waster), bible study and laundry! Scallops with pasta for dinner. I was going to make cheesy grits but when I took the top off the grits to see if there was enough for dinner, I dropped the container and the kitchen floor and then Dyson got our dinner grits!
