Greetings all

It started foggy and chilly but now it's warm and sunny. I spent some time in the studio and did some glazing as well as picking up about 10 new things to take to my woefully empty gallery area. Items delivered and I feel better. Prices raised. Can't sell out so fast. The little village of Trinidad is hopping and all the tourists are out enjoying its unique charm.

Hmmm Liz, you had better eat some more. And make it protein. Part of my gimpyness at this age is I think due to muscle loss during rapid weight loss and then no muscle left when I regained some flab. Hence gimp. But as I have often said even my minimal treadmill walking each day has made a noticeable difference.

DH got yet another electronic gadget which is sort of balancing table. You stand on it and it wiggles back and forth supposedly helping improve sense of balance. I tried it. Hate it. Felt like I was going to fall all the time. DH can have it. Not sure why he things he needs this but oh well.

Yay to everyone whose clothes are too big. Congrats and hot damn. More power to you. There is no feeling quite like "Wait, this is too big!".

Not a lot to report today. Scale the same. But my short's waistband which is unforgiving with no stretch is looser.

My dad caught Claudia's cold. He came to sit outside my house for a while and really struggled with his balance to get back. I had to hold his arm to make sure he didn't fall while he shuffled back and swayed. A real wake up call that even the smallest illness on an older person is very hard on them. So far this summer we're just bounding from health ailment to health ailment!

Crazy thing I read today: This will be the first Presidential election since 1976 to not have a Biden, Bush, or Clinton on the ticket. 48 years! Mind-boggling.

I think that's all here. Hoping for everyone to start feeling better here.

Take care all!

Sounds like real estate transactions in CA are like FL. Much simpler.

141.6

Just a really short drop in to catch up on the hap's

I, too, was a "scooper" In high school at Millers Ice Cream #1. The dairy and ice cream factory was right there in Eaton Rapids (original Miller got tired in the 1880s of selling his milk for nothing and ...). Big Ice Cream Festival every year. Oh...Paula, you have nothing on me re ice cream sampling! My favorites....where should I begin?

Signing seller contract and paperwork-pictures tomorrow so nitpicking just everywhere which is tedious and putting me in a mood of sorts. Liz, I'm just so happy that you hit the almighty "sell first day" lottery. But, then, your house, from what I saw, is just spectacular and it would be unusual if it didn't sell immediately.

Devon, I've had just that same experience as you described- just goes to show that the number itself is irrelevant as to value. The difference is in the direction one approaches it.

Off I am, catch you later, gators!

Back down to the 12 lbs. lost. Not sure what happened last week. This week's injection seems to be working better, so even though there is some medication left in the first vial, I'm tossing it out!

Uneventful day here so far. I made chocolate chip cookies and only ate maybe a teaspoonful of dough. The actual cookies are not calling my name either. I'll be bringing a good portion of them plus ham and cheese sliders and cheesy hash browns to a couple in our Bible study who just had their first baby! All the other couples in the group have mostly grown kids so it is kind of fun cheering the new parents on!

I made chicken tostadas last night and will have the leftovers tonight. I think the boys will have Jimmy John's. Easy peasy dinner!

Thanks for the latest addition to my vocabulary! MAFFICK! Love it! I have to get that one incorporated into my usage!

So, I felt dumpy yesterday! LOL! My shirt was too baggy, my jeans were loose... And rather than celebrating, I was annoyed. LOL! The jeans are new. I've worn them only a few times. The last time I wore them they were a bit snug in the waist. Yesterday I could pull them off without unbuttoning or unzipping. I have absolutely no idea why this annoyed me. Maybe it's because it felt like I wasted money on them? Who knows.... It's not like they cost a fortune. I bought them at Costco. Weight loss can trigger odd reactions! LOL!

However, I do believe this validates what I was thinking was going on with me physically. My body is slimming down right now, rather than showing scale reduction. That is perfectly fine with me. It's actually a positive.

Another funny thing about the brain: while gaining weight at this weight I felt horribly fat, disgusted with myself, etc... However, at this weight while in a losing mode, I feel quite spectacular! I feel thinner than I actually am. Interesting how the brain perceives physical changes depending on the cir****tance surrounding the change.

Liz, I did not realize that in MA one had to get a lawyer involved with the sale of the house. Here in CA it's a realtor and a title company and a notary public. That's it. Most of the title people and realtors are also notary publics. That makes the actual paperwork and legal side of things pretty easy for the seller and buyer.

National Ice Cream Day was indeed celebrated with an Oreo Cookies n' Cream Ice Cream Sandwich. Delish!

Good morning, or perhaps afternoon. I'm waiting for DD to get ready so we can go to the beach. DH and DS are taking the bikes out. Post beach/bike ride we are going to a restaurant called the Tide Pool, which has phenomenal lobster rolls. It's a walk up counter, with tables on the lawn overlooking the ocean.

Yesterday the 4 of us went to the beach, but none had the courage to enter the water. Water temps of about 68 I believe. I might, might try today. Depends how hot I get. Plus the sharks seem kind of busy this summer! It seems most sightings are off Cape Cod, but there have been some here on the North Shore.

Last night we had dinner at My Place By the Sea. In order to get reservations, you have to line up, day of, starting at noon. We were happy to get one! Beautiful ocean side, with awesome food.

DD is finally ready! Off we go.

Love those family phrases (which we carry on). I'm with you on the porch swing. I never had a place for one but would have loved to.
