As a new golfer you probably have to concentrate a lot with each swing. I bet the cold weather wears you out and makes it harder to do that. It will be interesting to see if your game improves when you can golf and not freeze at the same time. On the other hand, if it's not for you, you sure did give it a robust try.

120.2 - official weight of the week

DH did well yesterday with his eating but he looked like he was struggling (LOTS of water and wanted dinner earlier). He has been afraid to weigh since he started his regimen last week but I'm sure he dropped some because he was peeing a lot - that initial water weight.

Golf yesterday was fun though I played even worse than Sunday on the same course. I have some good shots but then the rest stink. It was also incredibly cold in the wind - my right hand was numb at one point. But the company was good - it was a member/guest tournament and my friend had fun. We played with another woman I have met before and liked and her friend. None of us actually played well so we were last getting off the course. My friend and I were dead last in the results. I'm not sure I am cut out for golf. I thought I was improving but then the last 2 times I have played have been my worst since I started. I have 2 weeks off from this league while I travel so maybe it will be better when I get back. At least it hopefully will be warmer.

Today I have yoga in the morning but then am unsure what we will do. The weather will be sunny with way less wind than yesterday so we should go find something outdoors to do.

Have a functional Friday!

Those hidden caches of junk are always easy to ignore but it does feel good when they have been attacked and brought back. I used to have lots of those areas in the house my kids grew up in. If I couldn't see it I didn't feel the need to do anything. That changed as I got older and my aversion to clutter now includes most hidden areas too. Maybe because of the moves over the last 10+ years when I had to do something about them?

Greetings all

Up early by my standards. It's a super sunny day. DH got in to the dentist early to fix the temp crown that fell off so that is good. Less whining. But he has to be careful what he eats - none of his continuous popcorn crunching.

So I will go walk at the gym in a bit and then go get a haircut. Then maybe finish the project I started yesterday which was to clean out this one rat hole corner in the bedroom that had become a debris repository. It is not a useful space as it is behind the door mostly but I just got sick of looking at it. Only took 3 years.

I made the loose meat sandwiches last night and we will have that again. Safe for DH.

Yep Liz, your DH has to find his own way. I agree - it's not beer; it is portions and restaurant sized stuff. We forget that non sleeved people can really eat a lot and can push capacity without the consequences that we have. Casserole sounds great.

Yep Paula the poop factor is real. No **** LOL. Hope all the snow got plowed. Sounds like you have a good group for bible study.

DD have you made it out of the house yet? Spring snow storms don't usually stick around - just long enough to make life hard.

Yeah Peps it is so annoying when you do everything right and don't see the result. Except you will. Just a little slower than you hoped.

And speaking of slow, the third eagle egg at Big Bear is showing a little hatch pip. We were wondering if that third egg was going to hatch but it is! The outer part of the nest is covered in snow so there are only brief peeks at the eaglets. So dang cute.

Halfway point on the eye drop regimen. But the number of drops is gradually reducing. Yay.

Yoo hoo CC, wherefore art thou?

I also had a poor poop day yesterday. Could be a combination of both for me!

Same explanation for my variations over the week - the rises seem to correlate with days with less movement, then my body rectifies things and it drops back down.

I'm with you on having lots of sauce with very little pasta, while Mike does the opposite.

129.4. Still in range, breathe Paula! These are normal fluctuations!

Had woman's Bible study today which was good as always! Sold some scrapbooking supplies on Facebook marketplace the last few days which is also good!

No workout today, did the increased speed on the treadmill yesterday and will try to motivate myself to do the hard DVD tomorrow. I've never been much of a gym person but I kind of want to do the weight machines. I bought a universal like set after VSG but sold that when we sold our house before Ben passed. I've always been able to add muscle fairly quickly but now that I'm in menopause, I'll be anxious to see if that still holds true.

Shepard's pie soup for dinner tonight. Recipe says to put a scoop of mashed potatoes in the middle of the bowl before serving which doesn't sound super appealing to me, so I will just dice some potatoes and add with the other veggies in the soup!

Liz, exciting that DH wants to get healthier too. My DH needs to lose about 10 lbs. to get into his suit for DSD's wedding! He's trying!

Peps, I notice a pattern to my weight fluctuations too and have decided it is bowel movement related! Because I eat very little and the meds slow down digestion, I just don't go that often, but when I do, I really do! Hoping for some action soon! Eating a certain protein bar usually works for me!

211.6 UGH.... never fails as I approach Friday the weight goes up. I'm going to see if pounding down water today helps release some of this water weight. I'm also wondering if the leg workouts I do (usually Wednesday nights) are contributing water retention on Thursdays and Fridays. At least I see the pattern and each week as I go up I'm still down from the week before. But, still, being dysfunctional about my weight, size, etc... that weekly rise irks the hell out of me.

Liz, good for Mike for starting to work on his weight. You are 100% right that he has to do it himself. Ron is in the same boat. I can see he is starting to lean in that same direction, but he's not there yet. Hope the scratch on the car isn't too bad.

The rain never materialized in our area. I guess it hit both north and south of us. Suits me just fine.

Not much else going on here. Dental appointment after school, a workout planned, and am planning on making turkey spaghetti sauce for dinner with a salad tonight. I'll make pasta for Ron, but I'm happy eating the super thick, meaty sauce with only a few bites of pasta.
