Is 64 cold in the house for you? l like it cool in the house when I sleep. If it weren't for Ron, I'd have the heat turned down to 60, or just plain off at night. I have to demand that he leave it no higher than 62. Otherwise, I get really stuffed up and headachy.

Last day of the year! 2026 sure came quickly.

Errands yesterday went more or less smoothly and our friends had arrived when I got back with Justice after his vet appointment.

Last month when I had my first Evenity injections for osteoporosis they hurt like crazy - not the needle but the liquid burned and hurt so badly I was having bad dreams about going again. I read about ways to mitigate that but the major thing was that the stuff should be at room temperature. Well apparently it wasn't the first time because it really wasn't bad at all yesterday. The young man who gave it asked what time my first appointment was and because it was one of the first in the day said it probably hadn't been out of,the refrigerator long enough to get to room temperature. From now on I am making sure my appointments are later in the day (he suggested at least after 10 am).

We went to our favorite Mexican place with our friends for dinner: guacamole and fajitas. Yummm...

Today the guys are going out to get fish for dinner tonight. I think we are going to grill grouper on the grill but do it in a foil pouch with some tomatoes and capers on it. Sounds yummy. Need to plan vegetables. Our friends will be here until tomorrow morning when they leave for their rental house on the Keys. But today DH plans to take them on a brewery tour.

It is 36 degrees outside right now! The heat is on even though DH hates turning it on in Florida. The house was 64 when I got up. The cold spell continues through tomorrow morning but then should start warming up and rebound by the weekend.

Have a noisemaker New Years Eve!

Traveling sure takes a lot out of people doesn't it? Hopefully both you and CC get over it quickly.

Oh I'm feeling so bad for our sick people! Not the best way to start the new year, but I guess it can only get better from here. CC, do you have a humidifier? Paula, you probably aren't facing dry air, but get back into bed as needed.

Argh. 101 fever. Still not sure what it is. Fever, aches, fatigue, faint drip in my throat. I think it's been 25+ years since I had the flu. Booo. I think I napped for 3 hours today. Sleep is good!

Congrats on the scrabble wins, especially against the Shark!

Just say no to exploding aliens.

Greetings all

Another sunny day here. Scrable was great - won two of three and defeated The Shark. All good. I made a quick stop at a grocery I pass on the way for a sandwich and a few things. Then I did some studio time and glazing. When I left the place the staff had tape measures and is apparently yet again reconfiguring the space. Oh well. We had great holiday sales there as well as at the gallery.

Not much planned here. We have leftover chicken and pasta from last night and clean laundry to fold. The neighborhood is clearing out a bit - on Christmas our street was completely packed with cars. We must be the christmas destination. And the giant snow man is gone.

So everyone is home safe but a few of you have colds. Bummer. Again, zinc lozenges. Used to be there was only zicam which tastes like crap but now there are better ones. This most recent cold I had turned out to be not the worst I have had so I feel lucky. I do credit the zinc plus pseudoephedrine or whatever that stuff is.

Paula by all means stay home and nap. And have soup.

More guests Liz! You astonish me.

Yay DD for Planet Fitness.

I found an envelope of cash that is gallery money that I forgot to deposit. Geez, where is my brain? I will get it in tomorrow with the last of the year stuff. I did get some taxes paid but have some more work to do. Ho hum.

We started the second season of Nobody Wants This. DH loves it. Lots of football for the next few days so I don't have to deflect the exploding aliens. I often search out netflix series and get them on our want list so that DH will not end up with exploding aliens by default.

Like CC, I caught a bug too. Sinus pressure, sore throat, fatigue and low grade fever today. I already took a 2 hour nap and feel like I could go back to bed.

We tried to take a walk but between the biting wind and me feeling like crap, we only made it down our street and back.

Liz, glad you get a little break before the next visitor arrives. Stay warm!

CC, hope you feel better soon. Glad to hear your Dad feels good enough to possibly take a trip to see you!

DD, enjoy the solitude in your house right now and have a great workout!

I think I'm going to drink some tea, take a bath, and go to bed early!

Ugh! i had influenza A once, and it was so awful. I never miss a flu shot now. I've still had the flu even with the immunization, but it was never as severe as that first time.
