Greetings all
More big sun which allegedly will remain for a number of days. Truly a mood lifter. DH is at lunch with his buddies and will likely bring home pizza. I will be making chili for studio buddy who is coming over at 4 to watch football. Hopefully DH can wrestle away her phones and so the transfer on our high speed wi fi so she will stop fussing about it.
Goodness you sinus infection victims! Hoping it resolves soon. Liz you don't need that lingering on the cruise. Hope you can get a bit of rest.
CC the nose car wash sounds more and more appealing. Maybe I will get our Navage, though my cold seems to have passed. I am back to my ordinary sinus issues. And wow a 750 lb piece of stone!! Sounds beautiful. Need a pic. Lucky you to have such a good contractor.
Peps weight gain comes after surgery I think because they have you on an iv and pump you full. Hoping your pain subsides soon. No pain no gain, right?
Thinking of DD and all she has to do. Wonderful obit posted on TT. Don't forget to include a bit of self care in the preparations.
I am beginning the ritual of washing the dog blankets which have become the same color as the back yard dirt. And now the dogs are asking to go out - no doubt to discover additional dirt.

I was wondering if people in maintenance would even qualify! Hoping so, but I still have 4.5 years to get to Medicare!
I don't think I have ever come out of surgery with out a weight gain. Liz is right. Fluids all the way. Power through, friend. Face lift is like having a baby; when you see the results all will be forgotten!
DEFINITELY fluid! Not a good time to weigh. The discomfort will pass but the first few days are quite uncomfortable. I think I didn't focus on it much other than the headache because I had a tummy tuck at the same time so I noticed that discomfort more.

Beautiful obit DD. You can tell it was written by an English teacher. Good on you for letting your brother rest after the all night thing. Let the funeral director earn their money by much planning. Thinking of you. ds
205!!!! ACK! I'm going to guess it's fluid retention because I've eaten very little the past two days.
Recovery continues. Discomfort level is far more intense than I expected. So, with doc's encouragement, I'm staying in front of the pain. I don't believe I've ever taken this med before. It doesn't really 100% kill the pain, but it does lessen it and the buzz is pretty fun!
My ears are very swollen and quite sore. I was not expecting that.
No regrets whatsoever, but I'll be happy when I'm over this discomfort hump...

I'm telling you, the battery powered sinus irrigator is life giving! I don't want to think about how long it would take for this gunk to drain on its own. It's a morning staple now until I stop producing the gunk...
By nighttime, I'm wiped out and feeling crappy again, but in the morning, post sinus irrigation, I feel pretty good. Late this afternoon I have a much delayed hair appointment. Given it's day 11 post onset, I don't think I'm contagious, but I still sound sick.
I got a text that the contractors who worked on my kitchen have procured a slab of dark purple flagstone to replace the column cap that has crumbled along my front walkway. It's 4' square and 3 inches thick and apparently weighs over 750 pounds, so they are having to get creative for how they get it installed. But I love these guys!! They do what they say they're going to do instead of sounding agreeable and then forgetting about me like the 5 other stone people I've talked to.
The Christmas decorations have not magically jumped back into the storage room unfortunately. We'll see if any elves show up for work today.
Take care all!

The sinus infection I had while up north is still draining. Maybe I got something else on top of that when we got home (we have been back for 11 days now). I felt a bit drained yesterday. Hopefully energy will return today.
I went to the golf clinic yesterday and learned a lot. I really should practice it so I don't forget. The second half of the golf clinic is this morning.
We leave at 12:30 to pick DS up in Orlando. Which reminds me that I need to check the status of the flight flying there which will turn around to come back.
Before the clinic, I need to do an early Justice walk then get a shower. Unfortunately the hair must be washed today (I usually don't before putting a golf hat on). I guess I will wear a visor. No time to feel draggy today.
Have a fruitful Friday!

I have started to wonder if it will be difficult to get a new prescription at only a maintenance level. Hopefully my new doctor will be okay with that.
