Lots of work to build/fully remodel a house. More energy than I have these days.

148.4, up down, up down within a 1 lb. range. Took my second 1/2 injection for the week last night. I've noticed lately that sometimes the needle meets resistance about half way in and I really have to push to get it in. I know there is less fat, but come on, there is still plenty there!
Made a Costco run and regular grocery run already this morning! I think I have everything for the turkey day meal except for Costco rotisserie chicken which will be picked up on the day of (Saturday for us).
Need to take Emma dog to the vet today. She needs bloodwork prior to her teeth cleaning appointment scheduled for next week and they need to check out a growth above her eye that has been bleeding/weeping a bit! The plan is for them to remove the growth when she is under anesthesia for the teeth cleaning if possible!
DC1 hanging out today. It was nice to have company/help with the grocery shopping. DH working 12 hour day shifts for the next 3 days then has a good stretch off!
Rainy grey day, might turn to snow later.
Hullo, all! I'm MIA but alive and deep in remodeling decision-making.
Do you know how much time it takes to pick out lighting fixtures for 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a hallway, and 2 bedrooms? And that's just the looking online part--not finding where and when they're available for purchase and delivery, coming up with other options when they're not available, and regaining your breath repeatedly after you keep realizing how freaking much money they all cost?!
Then there are faucet fixtures, vanities, towel bars, shower heads, cabinetry, door hardware, closet systems ....
At this point, I gotta say I won't mind the nursing home too much as long as the toilet flushes.

It certainly seems outside the norm for a dinner guest to take back home an unopened bottle of wine they brought to the dinner party.

I cared for my mom (who had Alzheimer's) in our home for almost 9 years, and she spent the last 4 years of her life in a nursing home. Needless to say, I've observed many Alzheimer's patients over many years.
A common mantra regarding Alzheimer's is "Once you've met one Alzheimer's patient, you've met one Alzheimer's patient." The obvious meaning is that Alzheimer's presents in a myriad of unpredictable ways and may change constantly.
Still, trying to make sense out of what's happening with an Alzheimer's patient is an unavoidable temptation for those of us who love them.

118.6 - I took my 1/2 shot late yesterday afternoon and could barely eat 1/3 of a hamburger plus one onion ring. Interesting.
Lots of musical talk yesterday. We prefer to see musicals these days at the theatre. The 2 non-musicals we have seen have not been satisfying though the acting was good. The musicals have been way more entertaining for us.
Today we drive to Orlando to stay at Universal Studios for 2 nights and meet up with DH's other daughter and grandchildren. Our car and a rental will be going so the guests may leave before us so I can still do water aerobics and we can do a little bit of cleanup. Tomorrow we will spend all day at Universal. Need to pack the right shoes.
Our handyman finished repairing the ceiling after the chandelier was moved yesterday, so we shall have light for Thanksgiving. We will have 9 people at the table that day.
Time to change the sheets on our bed - I think DSD #2 and granddaughter will sleep there. Grandson on pull-out couch and I think we are going to sleep the 3 nights at the hotel across the street (sleep only so no packing of stuff).
Have a margarita Monday (we may eat at Margaritaville later today)!
