It's another Monday morning on Planet Earth. The next few days will be busy ones for me with lots of financial and pre-moving to-dos prior to my home closing in less than two weeks.

During yesterday's day of rest I enjoyed being home alone. I binge watched "Geek Girl" on Netflix, a surprisingly enjoyable and sensitive Cinderella story about a neurodivergent 17-year-old girl who is discovered by a high-fashion modeling agency. Drama, romance, and beautiful clothes ensued, and I ate it all up!

Other than that, there's no new news. I'm still sniffling and phlegming and hope to see my doc today. Y'all have a good one.

Butternut squash risotto?! Girl, that's got to be the bling of takeout. NEVER fail to treat yourself with that.

Greetings all

It's chilly here and the sun cannot decide whether to come out or not. Whatever. After my usual piddling around I went to the gym and did the treadmill. It was nice because the wall tv was showing something I like. Instead of some wretched basketball game they had AKC dog diving! So fun. And the last part of it was little dogs like a king charles spaniel, ****er spaniel and the piece de resistance was the corgi!! Very fun and made me walk longer. After that it was studio where our holiday sale continues with lots of people about. I will work the sales table closer to Christmas. I got a few new things started and came home and had a snack of butternut squash risotto from the hippy dippy deli. Quite good. Chicken pot pie tonight. I know it's not in my long term best interest to not be more thoughtful about what I eat but it sure is less stressful. My bargain with myself is that so long as I do the exercise I don't stress about food so much. (again, she rationalized).

Yo Liz you have all the sheets washed and stuff done already??? I hate you. No, not really. Congrats on chore completion. On to the next one.

DD we are all so tickled that your DS has found a keeper. Such a gift. Just think - what if this person had purple hair and face tattoos!! Actually the fact that she is so personable is what matters but lack of purple hair is a bonus.

Ann you are the road warrior! Hope the final trek goes well so you can land safely in the new home. Yeah jewelry of the house! A friend of mine made these glass window hangings that she called house jewelry. Mirrors and lights are indeed home bling. Bet you can't wait for it to be done.

Peps I hope you are loafing the day away and not feeling one bit bad about not doing every chore.

The terriers (terrors) are having quite the wrestling match on the deck. They get frisky close to dinner time. Wish I could say the same.

Not much else. DH actually tried walking backward on the treadmill today. It was stunning.

Once you see your child with a partner who clearly lets them be their best selves it makes you hope that this could be the one. It was like that when I met DD's now husband. And I remember my SIL saying the same things you just said about her son's now wife.

You are correct - and the sheets are back on the guest beds.

A pause in the action, and I'm feeling very mortal indeed. Late night at friend's Thanksgiving. Brunch at BIL's, and then directly after that, a Kaddish ceremony at a friend's father's graveside. They are Jewish, and every year there is a short service near the anniversary of his father's passing, with readings, and a cantor singing a Kaddish prayer in Hebrew. Some November days its been warm, some bitterly cold, today was bitterly cold. The last two years a bald eagle has circled overhead. I think of the psalm, he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun... He was a very good man, and we miss him.

We got home an hour ago, and I read the paper. DD wants to go to Mass at the Cathedral in St. Paul at 5pm. I'm starting to hit the wall. I might send her and DH without me. Neither of them work tomorrow, but I do. On the other hand, its the beginning of Advent, and Mass at the Cathedral is gorgeous...

Sheets and towels await me also. It is wonderful to have a full house, but I also am happy with DH and I on our quiet days also.

DS's girlfriend was very well received. One of my niece's commented that she noticed too how relaxed DS was in her presence and another how easy she is to talk with. We feel the same. I hope they continue to enjoy each other's company.

Sounds like the Thanksgiving Weekend is winding down for us all. I am not being very productive today. I have many, many things I could be doing, but I just don't have the motivation.

217.8... Slowly going back to where it was prior to Turkey day late night sugar fest. Yesterday was a very poor water intake day, so like Paula I'm probably holding on to some water, too.

I think I need to force myself to get off my butt and get a few things done!

Diamond D, hope you enjoy this last day before going back to school tomorrow!

Ann, feel better.

Liz, you already have your tree up and I bet all the damn laundry is done, too! LOL
