You are gracious to share your surgery story. I am not always as forthcoming. Maybe I should be. Let people know that a successful outcome is not always just being very thin, (although it's fun!), but keeping a significant amount of weight off for many years. That's success! I will probably always remain a *****ubby, but my life is SO different than what it was before surgery. And that brings me great joy :)
Greetings all
A busy day by my standards. I had lunch with a new group "Ladies Who Lunch" which consists of some retired professional women who go to a different restaurant every month. Great group. Nice to meet some other lawyers. The rest were social workers or other mental health professionals. Another new tribe! We went to this crepe restaurant that I have been to before and it's great. Someone was talking about a friend who was going to have bariatric surgery. I told them I had done it and the nature of it. I could see they were thinking "then why are you fat?" but probably I was imagining. We all shared pictures of our dogs.
So it is kind of nippy here. I went on to the studio and got all my glazing done. After that I stopped at the gym and walked. It seemed easier today. The other day it was really hard. I guess the point is that some days are better than others and so be it.
Safe travels Liz. You have a lot of ground to cover in a short time. So much logistics! Hope the services go well. APB for the chair!
Paula chicken soup! The ultimate comfort food. Soup and good bread is one of my favorite meals. enjoy and stay warm.
CC any snow there yet? Winter balloons?
Not much else. No scrabble today. Must practice for next week.

I don't miss that cold! Hoping it won't be too bad up north when we are there for Christmas.

145.3. Down a smidge.
Weather getting colder again, tomorrow it will be below zero with wind chill. Yuck!
Most of the outdoors decorations are going up today (thanks to DH). Have 2 white lighted trees that should be delivered tomorrow to add to the mix.
Homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner! Perfect for a cold day!
Not much else to report. Take care all!
118.2 I realized that I will be north on my normal shot day. I don't feel like bringing it since I will be back home by 10 am the following day so I will just delay for a day.
I have started to pack for the short trip. If I have extra room I will bring some gifts I purchased here to go to SIL's where my ordered stuff is going. That way we will have less to bring the following week. I will pick it up the day after I return north.
After I get home I will only have 5 days before we go north for Christmas. Need to figure out what day to do Christmas with DH and I want to fit in a small ****tail party with a couple of neighbors and friends. I wish my missing chair would turn up... Time to call again today.
Today is going to be a beautiful, warm day. Justice has an appointment with his new vet and DH has an echocardiogram. Possibly a beach club visit in between, then dinner at an outside restaurant on the beach.
I wish the holiday felt more restful but I don't think that is happening anytime soon. Have a totally calm Tuesday!

It never occurred to me that people working in schools actually weren't supposed to leave mid-year but now that I think about it it makes sense. Back in time we didn't see staff leave mid-year except for health reasons. It does sound like a good time to be leaving. Sometimes life makes certain decisions like retirement easier.

Ron and I watched Man on the Inside and LOVED it!!!! We watched an episode or two per night over a week's time. I'm quite happy another season is in the works!
Classroom teachers seem to be the only ones that adhere to the old school year rule where I am. Support staff - even credentialed - seem to come and go throughout the year without a thought to consistency for the students. At one school we are on the THIRD speech pathologist for THIS school year!!!!! And this one only sees them remotely on Zoom while a para sits in the room with the student. WTF???? I want that gig! LOL!
Yes, usually just twice a year for the full drain and refill. Weekly chems much like a pool!
