Chik Fil A is my favorite fact food restaurant. Their grilled chicken nuggets are delicious and high protein. I haven't tried the salad, but I will check it out. And their sugar free lemonade is the bomb.

Good to hear your Moms surgery went well.

You can't pay for an extra meal there (or don't want to)? I am glad Mom isn't in pain. I'm sure she feels much more secure with you there.

124.8 (I think) on Mom's scale. She was up at 3 am and wanted to start getting ready for the day.

Surgery went well and she is now home and without pain. I'll be staying with her until at least Thursday, maybe Friday.

My food intake will be a little messed up while I'm here. I brought protein bars, cottage cheese and some drinkable chobani's but will need to pick up something for dinner each night. She gets her assisted living meals brought to her. I think I might hit the Chick Fil A near Mom's. They have a chicken salad with apples and berries that looks good.

Weight 117.8-119.6 (depending on the scale).

Peps, just .7 to see a 199 in the beginning!!!

Paula, best of luck for your Mom's surgery.

Just another Tuesday in paradise. We got a little bored yesterday partially because we haven't been swimming as much as usual. It has been a bit cloudy and more windy than usual so that even at a temperature of 87 it feels cool. I did do water aerobics in the morning and will again today. So different than the ones I do in Florida! There we are mostly in deep water with flotation belts and use water barbells, paddles and noodles in our exercises. Here we stand in the shallow end and use the floor of the pool. So my hair doesn't even get wet. I'd say less cardio and stretching but more arm strength stuff here vs Florida.

Today we may go to the butterfly farm which is an activity that many repeat annually but I have never gone. It is supposed to continue to be windier than usual for the next couple of days but should be a bit more sunny. We never actually sit in the sun here, but are under a chickee/palapa all the time. We are only in the sun early when we walk and if we swim. Even with that I can see faint strap lines at the end of each day. The sun is amazingly strong.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

123.9, holding pretty steady!

I'm back at Mom's. Gave her her pre op shower tonight. We have to be at the hospital at 6. I'm setting my alarm for 4 am. Yikes! She is supposed to have another full shower in the morning. Not happening! Sponge bath it will be! Almost 89 years just don't get up and at 'em! I scrubbed her extra good tonight and she is sleeping on clean sheets in clean PJs per their instructions!

It might get a lot busier as TT members start looking for off season rentals because your pictures and descriptions conjure up the word paradise!

The high rise area is where the Hyatt Regency and Marriotts are - most of the casinos and fancier restaurants and stores are in that area. Crowded narrower beaches without waves. The low rise area is much more laid back, older resorts with many like mine right on the wide beach. The best beach in Aruba and actually most of the Caribbean is in the low rise area - Eagle Beach. Our beach is an extension of that technically Manchebo Beach I think. Way quieter here so I love that especially off-season in June.

I can tell that both you and Peps made a huge difference in so many children's lives. Nothing more important than that.
