I LOVE Diamond D, and now even more that I know the story!
I just get confused with all the DSD, DD, DS, DDH, stuff.... sometimes I find myself spending more time figuring out what the acronyms mean than I think I should.
So Diamond D is a nickname from college. I had a gold charm shaped like a D with a diamond chip on it. It was all the rage to wear multiple gold chains in various lengths with gold charms, and I thought this one really added something! I was inordinately proud of it, and when I showed my new acquisition to my roommates, they christened me Diamond D. I guess they didn't understand how fashionable I was.
Got on the scale for the first time in two weeks. Well, I stayed exactly the same! Can't complain after being on the road for two weeks and eating basically fast food the entire time. I really only had one or two truly decent meals, though I did try to go places like Jersey Mike's for sandwiches and often removed the carbs from the burgers. At least I did eat a lot of protein in the way of Quest Bars during the trip. Anyhow, I'm pleased that there was no gain. Not gonna lie, though. I was hoping to be down a little bit, but the reality is I didn't eat to lose weight, so the real world result vs. fantasy result is quite pleasing.
Came home to a house in desperate need of cleaning. Ire rose this morning.... It's just not okay. Internal fuming boiled over when I was told he would do housework Thursday after he got his church work done today.... And I will leave it there.
I can't decide if I will take a tirzepatide shot today or wait until tomorrow. I took the last one last Wednesday (a day early) but now am not sure whether to get back on the old schedule or adopt a new one. I guess it doesn't really matter.
Diamond Diane, I did immediately think of you when I read Tim Walz was Harris's chosen running mate. I have to say, his personal history and record is very appealing to me.
I know I have said this before, but the use of acronyms (DD, MIL, etc...) can sometimes be confusing - especially the use of DD. Just sayin'.... I know, I know.... old man needs to get with the times....
Exciting for your DS to launch this next stage of his life! Also bittersweet too. My children are right where they should be right now, and I am happy while missing them. Part of the gig I guess.
Yesterday I had another good day with protein. Yeah! Weight is very steady. I seem to have much smaller swings while taking Wegovy. My weight often is the same to a tenth of a pound. One time I held something while weighing to make sure that my scale wasn't stuck, and it wasn't.
Yesterday I had a great workout. My arms were actually a little challenged by pushing the cart at Costco afterwards.
We're enjoying all the Minnesota memes now that our governor is a candidate for the Vice Presidency. One Minnesota oddity, if say I want to get around you at the supermarket, I might say, Ope, just gonna sneak right by ya here. I saw a meme that added "into the White House". A good laugh. That, and the tweets insisting Minnesota isn't really part of the midwest, it's part of Canada. I agree we're more Bold North than midwest but pretty sure I'm still living in the U.S. Not the first time though I've been mistaken for a Canadian though. It happens at least once a year when we're traveling.
Another day to pick what tasks I want to do and at what speed. I'm still getting things accomplished, but it's so freeing mentally. Soon enough I will be on a tight schedule, so I'm enjoying this respite. Only scheduled plan, meeting SIL, her husband, and BFF for dinner and going to a farmer's market this afternoon.
WOW! Congrats!

I imagine I'll wind up in assisted living when I'm much older and alone again.
I assume I'll be alone again because that's how the great majority of elderly relationships play out. But we'll see. Maybe I'll do pole dancing in my dotage.

Weight 123.4. I have decided to follow Miss150's pattern of weighing every day (if I can), but only recording my weight once a week (on Fridays). My weight is relatively stable which is good because I feel like I ate a lot over the last few days. Last night we went out with DS to an Indian restaurant and had some delicious food. I ate as much as I wanted, which was more than I was able to eat a few weeks ago but less than I would have before tirzepatide so it is still working well for me.
Rain, rain, go away. Up until a few days ago we have had an extremely hot and relatively dry summer on Cape Cod. This week has been much cooler with showers off and on. This morning it is especially dark and wet out. The remnants of Hurricane Debby are due here on Friday/Saturday. Not great for DS's move to Portland, ME but at least we won't feel like we are missing out on the beach. DH and I are on the assisting staff with the move. We aren't doing any of the packing/moving but are each driving a car north. I am responsible for DS's car, cat, plants, and computer equipment. We will stay overnight Friday night, then return to my much emptier house on Saturday.
This morning I need to make some calls which I hate doing. I have to find out what's up with my car which the adjuster was supposed to look at yesterday to assess the rodent damage. I tried to call the dealership a few times yesterday afternoon and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I also need to set up the inspection of my fire alarms which has to be done within 60 days of closing.
Time to get cracking! Have a winsome Wednesday!

Justice uses all of his 11 pounds to take up as much room as posssible in bed. He especially likes to stretch crosswise to maximize that space LOL.

I lost 5 pounds between December and mid-April prior to starting on tirzepatide (I was at 150 when I started it). I reached goal of 125 in 3 more months (4/19-7/12). That was a bit faster than I expected but I struggled to eat much for a while there especially on 5 mg, though I did go to 7.5 mg for 4 weeks at the end when I started to get more hungry. I dropped back to 5 mg 3 weeks ago. I seem to be holding in my range so will stay here for now.

Thank you! I'm very pleased with the process so far! How long did it take you to get to goal? I know you had a lot less to lose then I do!
