Saw the Del today, but it was covered in scaffolding! If I had booked it, I would be so disappointed. It will probably be gorgeous though, when they're finally done.
Have you seen the new musical Some Like it Hot? One of the best new musicals I've seen in years and years. We saw it in NYC, and I'm so hoping the touring show that'****ting the road lives up to what we saw on Broadway. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it. I will see it again when it comes to Minneapolis this year.
You'll be fine with the 5mg. It's where I started with tirzepatide. (Remember I had been on semaglutide already for two months.) 5 mg was an easy dose for me to manage.
It sounds like you are having a marvelous, marvelous time! I'm so glad for you! Maybe a little Hotel Del Coronado? I love that place... Probably because I love Some Like It Hot!
Down another pound, so that makes 8 in 2 weeks and a day! Got a text from my supplier and they will be sending me the next dose up (5 mg) unless I tell them otherwise. I think I will try the next dose up and if it seems like it is too much will just inject 1/2 the amount.
Good day today. Went kayaking for the first time this season. Beautiful day, even if a bit on the cool side (low 70's).
Had Ahi tuna poke bowls for dinner. Had enough calories left to go out for ice cream but I just wasn't feeling it!
I have a cousin that teaches in Arizona. They have year round school with just more/longer breaks
We got back to the hotel earlier today. It's 6pm. Yesterday was a whirlwind. Mass, lunch with the family, and then down to the harbor. On a whim we walked over to the band shell on the harbor, and learned the San Diego Symphony was playing with Audra McDonald. It was sublime: her powerhouse voice, her selections from the musical playbook, the sun setting on the San Diego skyline.
Today we started out with a fire alarm at 7:15 am. Luckily it was turned off before we actually got downstairs. We were going to get up at 8am anyhow, so we survived. We met up for coffee with BIL and SIL, and then bid them goodbye, while we headed downtown and they headed back to our niece's house.
After paying a ransom for parking yesterday, we walked to the light rail (about 2 blocks) and rode downtown, where we switched to the Old Town Trolley (hop on hop off). Around noon we rode past BIL and SIL who were having lunch with our niece downtown, before they went to the airport. BIL spotted us on the trolley before we saw him on the sidewalk. We all caused a bit of a scene but it was so funny to see them.
After sightseeing, we had an early dinner in Little Italy. Lovely meal. Between today and yesterday, I now have 4 to go boxes crammed into the hotel room fridge. DH has been less inclined to share on this trip. Oh well.
Tomorrow's plan is Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. We're having a great time!
It is an ongoing frustration/puzzle for me. Eating well is so easy, until it's not. I've been through many, many cycles. One of the many things I love about this group is the demonstrations of courage to keep on searching for the puzzle piece that will help it make sense.
Down another ten spot; Dang, those are always special. Whoop, indeed. Also special is setting those goals to the side marked, "well and done".
I thought it ironic that the summer break being a huge time off fell, unfortunately, during my least favorite season! I know the historical rationale in back of the placement on the calendar, but--Shoot, what about any other 3 months!
Yes, indeedy, it is good to be retired.
