Greetings

Its full on sun here today which is nice except it might actually get to warm. Scrabble this morning. Won one, lost two including The Shark. The man is a walking dictionary plus one has to play very defensively and not leave any good options. Results in a really ugly board.

Yay Liz for Saratoga. My horse betting strategies are: pick the horse with the biggest ass, pick the horse with the cutest colors, or pick the horse that acts naughty during the parade around part at the start. Enjoy the trip but you might want to arrange some down time.

Ocean Diane, I thought to myself " who is this Debbie"? then realized what it was. Glad you are unscathed even if muddy. And congrats on closing the case. What a fabulous way to serve your community.

Corn DD! Sounds grand. or was it Paula going to the corn festival. A good time. Now I want corn. And yeah Paula, Mexican is the crave thing. There is a new mexican food truck here in town that I want to try. One burrito is about 4 meals for us.

Hey DD glad you captured the escaped kayak. Never thought about putting docks in and out but it makes sense.

I am heading for a nap. Scrabble day comes early for me plus I did a quick grocery trip on the way back. I got som halibut to fix for dinner since we do cow/chicken/cow/chicken way too much. There is halibut fishing here but I don't think this is local.

Congrats Peps on turning in the big letter. You are a short timer now! Hopefully you won't get abuse - smart to get your assignments first. Yay. DD you are next.

I'm anxious for the moment I can say it out loud to admin etc. My co-workers know my plan, but I didn't want to confirm it with admin until I got my actual caseload and class schedule, lest they decide to stick it to me since I'm leaving anyhow. But they'll know soon enough :)

I just got invited for some special training NEXT week, Tuesday and Wednesday. I'd get paid $45 an hour, but jeeze. I can turn it down, but maybe it would be good to take the money. Leaning towards no. My must show up date is August 26.

Sounds like you are doing a compassionate job helping people deal with the court system.

Today is day 2 back at school. Meetings, meetings, meetings... I am going to hole up this afternoon by myself to get some real work done!

My weight is sticking right where it is. I am going to have to look at my intake and see what I can modify. I really need to break into the next "decade". I would like to be below 200 by my b'day in February, but I have to first make my next goal, which is only 8-9 pounds. Perhaps I need to up to 12.5 next month. I don't want to go that high, if I don't need to, though.

I'm a little tired today, too. My DH (hehehehe) decided to wash sheets yesterday and forgot to put them in the dryer until close to 11 pm. So by the time sheets were dry and bed was made it was must passed midnight. UGH...

My big deal for today is to write my letter of intent to retire and request to be placed into the Early Retirement Incentive Program. Whoo hoooo!

That's actually a really good idea! I do think I'm tolerating the 5 mg dose better as far as getting in more calories but yeah, the fatigue is still there!

One of my favorite "things" about my Wisconsin/Minnesota/North Dakota trip was the fresh roasted corn on the cob dipped in melted butter. The sweetness and crisp texture was AMAZING! I don't think I have ever enjoyed roasted corn on that level.

You're doing awesome! If you can tolerate a bit slower loss, upping your calories might help. You can safely extend the time between doses by 1 or 2 days, giving you a window to get more fuel. Seems crazy to think of planning to eat more, or needing to eat more, but that could help with the fatigue. And more calories might not even slow down the speed of weight loss.
