I've become kind of picky about lobster rolls since DD moved to the East Coast. It's not that you can't get good lobster in the Midwest, but there's always the chance you'll get substandard, chewy, not so sweet lobster this far inland. Price aside, I would go with shrimp too.
Yeah! I was missing your updates. And yeah for all the blessings on their way to St. Vinny. I love the work they do.
Off and on rain here too.
DS 3 and I went to the macro insect photography exhibit which was pretty cool. Snacked on string cheese for lunch and then will have an early dinner at the sushi place. I get an appetizer called avocado flower which is spicy crab meat wrapped in avocado petals. It has some of those fried crunchies added in too. Very good and no rice!
Nothing else really happening today.
Congratulations on the move!

I have found you at last! Long convoluted and still not exactly resolved story involving email addresses needed for sign ins that no longer exist and misplaced hard copies of passwords lost in the move, etc etc etc. Technology 17, Me 0; no matter, it will work out in the end somehow.
House is a total train wreck and despite my efforts, I still brought over too much. No problem as the purging spirit remains and I know St Vinnies will welcome all this bedding and linens I'm about to shoot their way.
Typing this out on a cell phone is nuts and I'm back to sorting and playing with my new doll house which is very enjoyable at the moment. No time factor-no pressure and am getting my steps and strength training in for sure.

Rainy morning. We went for lobster rolls, but I ended up with the shrimp po'boy. Tasty. I mostly ate the grilled shrimp innards. There was a lot of butter swimming at the bottom, so picking up the sandwich wasn't possible. The folks got lobster rolls. They looked good, but I'm not sure I like lobster enough to spend that much for a sandwich!
I need to go to the grocery store today when it stops raining. And later walk Kirby. But that's all I have to do.
Not much else going on here. Have a good day!
I LOVE the Sagamore ! I've stayed in the hotel and the chalets !

If it's Saturday, we must be in Burlington, VT. We drove from the middle of nowhere to here during mid-day yesterday, stopping at a hole-in-the wall deli and market to get a great sandwich. Dinner last night was at a farm-to-table place with nice ambiance and good food. DS had recommended it from when he was in school near here.
I booked our flight back to Florida on October 14. Less than 2 months away during which time we will have DD's engagement dinner (tonight), bachelorette party (next weekend) and wedding (end of September). Along the way, DH is celebrating his 70th birthday and we have to get the house cleared out. Time to relax once we get back to Florida!
I had a terrible dream this morning that Justice disappeared. I was offering a $500 reward for his return. I did get a reassuring video of him this morning already from his caretaker.
Have a stupendous Saturday!

Greetings all
Yet another beautiful day. A bit of rain is predicted which is good. The nearest fire has grown quite a bit. It's still a long way from here but sad to think about.
Studio time today. Made some new things. The big kilns get fired today which takes about 9 hours and needs monitoring. So grateful we have paid technicians to run them. It's complex since it's gas fired and the air/fuel mixture plus rate of temperature climb must be within certain limits. It's impacted by wind, humidity and other unknown forces of the universe.
Lobster roll CC! Sounds good. Good for you for having food indifference. That may be the secret to all of this.
Lunch today was tuna salad and cottage cheese (DD I can hear you gagging!). It's a good amount of protein for me. I am going to try Ann's microwave egg poach since getting the poach pan and cleaning is a bother.
And DD you are an expert book critic! Thanks for your thoughts. Good writing is such a treat to be savored. Some books indeed have a super plot but are not well written. Jurassic Park comes to mind - a terrific story that reads like a jr high kid wrote it. Glad the dreaded memo turned out to be no so bad. Occasionally, a problem actually gets solved.
Paula sorry your doggy got a sting. Hope she recovers quickly.
DH did lunch at an Italian place. Brough home most of two calzone. Those will likely last us for a week. He is now totally absorbed in a tv show about King Tut's tomb.
That resort looks cool Liz. Glad the rain ended up being amusing.

Rainy day today. I didn't go outside much but it was sticky humid. DS 3 is home for a night and DC 1 came for dinner tonight. We will all go out for su****omorrow for dinner before DS 3 goes back to his college town (only 1 1/2 hours away). Tomorrow DS 3 and I are going to an exhibit of macro insect photographs at a neighboring towns Art Museum. He shares my love for photography and all things nature!
Bella dog must have stepped on a bee this morning and got stung. She came limping inside and the bee was still embedded in her toe pad. Poor thing was shaking for a good 30 minutes. I watched her closely for about an hour and she finally settled down and was able to fall asleep! After her nap you would have never have known she had been stung.
Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend!
