dd sorry about your dad. Hoping they will accept some change.

I got both vaccines on the same day, and had no side effects. Good luck!

156.5. Down a smidge again but could have been dehydration. I only drank a 12 oz. Gatorade and a Fairlife all day yesterday! I'm so bad at hydrating!

Went to coffee with some of my gal pals today and got my fav lavender latte. DC1 and DS2 came over for dinner. I had a frozen lasagna that I had thawed out so it was an easy peasy dinner. Always nice to see the kids.

DH and I get our Covid and Flu vaccinations tomorrow. Hope they don't put us down for a day, especially since we are going to take DS3 out for dinner on Thursday. It seems like they usually do though!

Glad you made it to Florida safe and sound Liz! Enjoy that beach and your dolphin friends!

DD, sorry about your Dad's fall. My Mom has had so many! Luckily she never broke a bone but she has knocked out teeth, broken glasses, gotten lacerations and of course had major bruising! Watching your aging parents decline is so hard!

Anne, enjoy decorating the new home. How cool that DF enjoys such things! I second the being anxious to see pics on TT!

CC, scorpions and snakes oh my! At least you have warm weather, had to break out the down puffer coat today!

Peps, sorry about the political BS at school! Less than a year to go, less than a year to go! That has been my DH's chant for his job too! Sounds like the compounding companies have at least another 60 days to produce, hoping it will continue after that.

Diane S, hope your procedure went well and you are on your way home soon!

Same old, same old here. Admin BS aplenty yesterday. We had a professional development day, and it seems that the district is listening to any Tom, Dick and Harry that has an opinion about music education in our district. Even though I have no skin in the game after this year, the lunacy of the district's stand is frustrating.

Had a great workout yesterday. My glutes are on fire today. Weight is sticking right around 223, so I'm hoping for a drop one of these days. Like CC, I think my body is getting used to the 12.5 dose. Combined with some of the school stress, busy schedule, etc... my appetite is not as quiet as I've become used to. But, c'est la vie.

Great news on the tirzepatide front! Orderly Meds sent out a notice that it's business as usual. The FDA reversed their stand on tirzepatide pending further investigation on actual brand name supply. Whoo hoo! I may start thinking about 15 mg doses from here on out. I have about 35 pounds more to lose. I'm really hoping to get down in the low 210s by the New Year. But, I'm not sure how strict I'm willing to be with myself to do that! Goals come along with decisions, don't they?

Welcome home, Liz! Dolphins!!! DD, have a wonderful time. Some Like It Hot is a favorite of mine. A true classic film gem! Sorry about your dad! Diane S., hope your procedure is over and went beautifully! CC, scorpion proof away. (I feel about rattlesnakes the way you feel about scorpions. ICK!) Ann, congrats on the new digs! Can't wait to see photos on TT!

Adios amigas!

Scorpion proofing is important. I hope it works!

Congratulations on the new home! Maybe DF can help me decorate my living room LOL. I'm feeling a little unsure of what I want.

Maybe, just maybe they will be willing to accept more help after this? Hard to have to worry but not be able to change anything.

We have lots of visitors this fall: DS next week, DD and her DH on Veterans weekend, long term friends of mine in between DD and Thanksgiving when DH's entire family will be here, then DH's 2 sisters in early December. Finally long-term friends of DH over New Years. We will need a rest early next year.

Not much happening here. It's only 82. Really quite nice! I walked Kirby, but have done little else today. I may need to go forage for dinner supplies. I had thought last night about a trip to Prescott today to go to a garden center I want to check out, but Daytime me and Nighttime me have different ideas about what would be fun and today the long drive didn't sound fun.

I'm investigating a product you can have installed on your house called Slick Barrier. It's a clear glass like paint they put a 4" band of around the bottom of your house that scorpions can't climb up. I think I may do it. It's a fraction of what fully scorpion-proofing the house would be. It was on Shark Tank. I'm searching for negative reviews and don't see any. But I do see a few from people who are thrilled to no longer have scorpions.

I think that's all. I just remembered a few checks I forgot to write, so I need to get cracking on those!

Your dolphin has welcomed you home! How nice that even though your DS lives on the other side of the country, he visits! And what a lovely place to visit. Enjoy getting settled in.

Ann, enjoy putting together your new home with your beloved. New adventures!

Thinking of Diane S, and hoping procedure and recovery go smoothly.

This morning I got texts that my Dad fell, hit his head, big gash, and was in the ER. This is exactly what I fear. My Mom is quite disabled so she cannot help him much, and can not do much for herself. My brother went to take care of her, and my SIL went to the hospital with my Dad. He had a CT scan and thankfully no bleeding. But my Dad has been sick with diarrhea and nausea for many days, so they are doing a CT scan of his abdomen. I haven't heard yet about results, which is of course concerning.

I called my Mom during my prep. She was upstairs and it seemed my Dad was downstairs longer than normal getting breakfast. She finally got her walker and called down the stairs, and he answered I'm hurt. So maybe he was unconscious for a bit. She rode her stairlift down, and using her walker, got him a pillow and a blanket and then called my SIL. Luckily SIL called 911 immediately. They live in the country. It's already a wait for the ambulance. If my SIL hadn't answered, how long would my Dad have laid on the floor, bleeding? It chills me. Since no one has texted me for a bit, I think he is probably spending the night. I hope so. My brother will stay overnight with my Mom.

Aging, not for the faint of heart.

We have tickets tonight for Some Like it Hot Broadway touring show tonight. Then off to Galveston tomorrow. I managed not to pack every sundress I own.

I've been MIA for a while. Our new home closed last Friday, and we've been absorbed with so much involving the usual utilities, garbage pickup, cleaning supplies--but mostly meeting with contractors about remodeling we want to do.

Right now we're driving a U-Hail up to Cincinnati to pick up some furnishings we've bought online at an auction house. Our new home is going to be gorgeous once we've finished with it. DF loves doing this stuff and is really good at visualizing what needs to be done. He's done this twice before. Me--not so much, although once I understand what he is imagining I seldom have anything but enthusiasm.

I'll be back in touch when our days aren't 18 hours full.
