I'm keeping the pictures that were in frames if I think my kids would like to see them and donating the frames that are still in good shape.

Hope I didn't come across as a beast in my post last night. Was not meant as such. I am very curious though about why the drug works differently with different people. My question really was does the drug work differently and more intensely on those for whom it was not designed (BB even at her starting weight was someone who was fewer than 10 pounds from a normal BMI, thus considered a cosmetic weight loss by medical standards.)
Anyhow, weight down a tenth of a pound today. After yesterday's workout that seems quite reasonable and absolutely delightful.
Got the word that the new parts for the RV awning have arrived. Hallelujah! Maybe I can list the bugger for sale before October. That would be so nice!!!!! Hoping to get the old 1997 van smogged and on the market next week. Yippee!
Still hot as blazes here! Supposed to cool off to the mid 80s to low 90s for the next 10 days. I'm ready for some temps in the 70s. Probably going to be just like last year: From hot to cool with no in between!
Not much else going on.... Later gators!

Woke up in an especially clear, clean and refreshing state of mind today-and, boy, Howdy-Doodie, it is a great space to be in. Must have something to do with the popcorn and Chief's game last night?
Lovely open window's day and Swanny and DH out for a walk about the neighborhood. Still debating just where and how much of the property to enclose. Like the rest of the house, might be best to just live with things a while and see what a good fit might be.
I'm paying attention to the picture sorting processing discussion (all of it, including the many beautifully framed but oversized images of ancestors from the way back came over with the move and need to be addressed). Might indeed be time to take all those 11x14 and 16x20's out of their beautiful wooden frames and, well then, what to do with them and frames after?...
Been thinking about ****ly's mentioning how alluring the scale can become (even when at a perfectly healthy weight) ...as in, just how low can I go kind of (is it)- seduction-mere curiosity-dysmorphia-thrill seeking- or, maybe just another aspect of a twisted and unhealthy relationship with our bodies?
And then, Devon's "food noises" that can completely destroy the sense of control when it comes to eating peace of mind. There's got to be a balance somewhere and I hope the research continues to seek out what I imagine is a necessary element to successfully using the GLP's as a maintenance tool.
Sending smiles to all
Make me sad! Today's high will be 63, but it will be back in the 80's next week - that's WI for you!
Seems strange that the summer is nearly over doesn't it?

Sorry for discussing BB's weight loss when she doesn't post here, but her start weight was 167 and her lowest post-vsg weight she wanted to get back to was 151, so indeed she started the drug wanting to lose around 16 pounds. Then she dropped to a low of 127. So I believe you are correct that she lost 40 and Peps has a valid point about starting the drug when one doesn't have much to lose! And for people like us with long standing weight issues, watching numbers on the scale fall without much effort can be a drug in itself it's hard to wean off of.
Cool, very blustery day here on Lake Michigan with occasional spitting rain and the possibility of waterspouts. Kirby is concerned by the acorn****ting the roof from the trees around the house. I won't be doing a lot outdoors.
My flight home is booked and my friend lined up to pick me up. Summer is winding down. Though it was 98 in Sedona yesterday, so maybe less summer for MI, but still summer in AZ.
My scale was 187.6 today. Which considering my eating of late is kind of a miracle. There always seems to be a push at the end of summer to get all the foods in, go to all the restaurants, eat with people soon leaving until next summer... I'm trying to push back on that and made shrimp stirfry with lots of veggies last night. But then Claudia made dessert, which she never does and none of us needed. It will be good to get home to my closed environment.
Anywho, that's all I've got. Hope everyone has a great day! DD, so ecstatic for you that you got a great class!
That winery visit sounds like it will be fun!
I guess I am lucky that I don't have any major food aversions, just disinterest in things I used to crave.

167.1, back down a smidge. I took advantage of my increased appetite and lack of food aversions last night and enjoyed some Moo Goo Gai Pan at a local Chinese restaurant. Chinese food has been one of my food aversions and last night it finally sounded good. Total calories were still less than 1,000.
DH off today but worked a split shift (5:30-1:30 pm and then 1:30-5:30 am) to help out a coworker, so he needs to sleep until about noon. Gives me a chance to get some computer work done.
Our plan tonight is to go to a winery about an hour away. They have wood fire grilled pizza and have a band playing tonight. I happen to know all of the band members since they all had attended my church in Oshkosh at some point and we all raised our kids at about the same time. I'm hoping their wives and some other people that attended my church will also be there. It could turn out to be old home week for me.
I did take my injection last night so I expect food disinterest and aversions to return in the next few days. DH said it was nice to see me enjoy a meal last night. I'm a little like BB in that food was becoming unenjoyable a good bit of the time and if I did enjoy it, it only lasted a few bites before I "was done".
Weight 120.8, so still holding in my target range. I have stayed there for 9 weeks with weekly injections of 5 mg tirzepatide (down from the 7.5 I was at for the last of the weight loss). Like Peps, I would prefer to stay on the medication both because of the absence of food noise but also the relief of inflammation in my body, especially my knees. Hopefully the compounded version continues to be available to do that.
I think BB is just super susceptible to the drug. I believe she lost 40+ pounds, so not a small amount even though she never increased her dose above 2.5 mg. Then she couldn't stop losing so her BMI was creeping toward underweight. She also said she had no joy in food which was difficult. I feel lucky that I still enjoy my food. I don't need as much to feel satisfied and don't crave the carb-loaded stuff I used to want, but still like what I do have.
Yesterday I spent time with my SIL poking around in over-priced shops in Osterville, then had dinner at a great restaurant on a marina where all the windows were open and the bar was full of people like us enjoying the ambiance and the food. Really nice day!
My house passed the smoke and carbon monoxide detection inspection yesterday but just barely. If my finished basement had been an additional 100 square feet I would have had to add another detector. The inspector and I had to find the tax records to check the square footage to make sure it was within the limits. Whew! Nice guy - if I had to make that change, he would have come back right afterwards to inspect so I didn't have to get back on a list to be scheduled.
Today we are going back to DH's home for a few days. His birthday is Sunday and I think he would like to be at his place for the day. Before we go I am doing laundry.
I also want to try on the dress for DD's wedding again. I put it on a couple of weeks after hitting my weight target but as we all know, weight can shift around a bit so I want to be sure it still fits properly.
And I am continuing the photo sorting. I got some plastic bins to use. I have almost completed the 3 most dense boxes of pictures (they had most of the envelopes). The remaining boxes are more full of framed pictures which I will remove from the frames if I retain them.
Have a fabulous Friday!
