Hugs Liz! The photo sorting and paring down even though needed sounds like it stirred up some grief and rightly so! Good for you for sticking with it!

166.5 today. Another smidge down but was at this weight sometime in the last 2 weeks, albeit probably from dehydration. I think the loss may be slow going from here on out, which really isn't a bad thing but I prefer it to go faster!

Costco and some other shopping on the docket for today. We are skipping church, perhaps will watch it online later. DC1 over today. Teriyaki pineapple chicken for dinner - a family favorite. I liked the Quest loaded taco chips. A nice break from the normal choices I am used to and they were good with my chicken chili. I think my second favorite protein snack is Sargento string cheese. I've decided that I'm not a beef (or other meat) stick person. I can barely choke down the protein bars anymore. Time to find a new breakfast option. I love oatmeal but have heard the higher protein options don't taste so good. Any recommendations?

Today is DH's 70th birthday and it is a beautiful day. Highs are expected to be around 70 with lots of sun. He is golfing right now (left at 6:30 am), but will be back around lunchtime. The Patriots football game is on the agenda for watching at 1, then we have a 7pm reservation for dinner at a lovely Oceanside restaurant.

I already ordered DH's birthday present - a Quarterboard naming the house to go over the garage door (a very Cape Cod/seaside decoration). I wish I could go out and get a birthday card but alas I have no car.

Justice and I are sitting on the couch with a fuzzy blanket over us. Soon I will return to sorting the last of my loose photos. All that remains for photo sorting back at my house (we are still at DH's home) is going through deceased DD's pictures and the albums currently in plastic bins. I think I am ready to just keep the good pictures of DD from her set but when I first went through them a few years after she died I couldn't toss anything as I was going through her memories. I expect I will just keep all the albums. My goal is to have everything in plastic bins of one size or another and hopefully just the highlights that my kids may enjoy someday when I am gone. Maybe I will put a note in the bins with the loose ones (for when I'm not around anymore) and just ask that they go through them once but then they can dump them. My sorting has narrowed the pictures down to ones that should be relevant to them and the quantity has been reduced by about 95 percent. I wish that had been done with my grandmother and mother's photos that I carted around for years. It has been hard doing this. It caught up to me yesterday evening and I was feeling very sad and didn't sleep well but I feel better this morning. Sunshine helps with that.

Have a surprising Sunday!

Same weather here! Warm in the sun but quite cool in the shade with no humidity.

I am with you on Premier shakes - I'll use them when there is no Fairlife available but I just don't like them. Luckily it seems like more stores in Massachusetts and Florida are carrying them these days.

I love that Iowa State football game tradition!

You make me feel like I should make some chili next week. Both DH and I love the stuff and it will be too hot back in Florida.

I can't use anything with straps to hold up the girls because the dress is off one shoulder. I don't want to use a traditional strapless because I will have bra lines in the back. But maybe one of the tube tops I used after my shoulder surgery will work!

Nice that you were able to reconnect with people!

I agree with DD that the symptoms may abate over time. I think I was fatigued at first and also had some dizziness but that has been gone for at least the last 2-3 months.

Report back on those taco chips! I had some Quest sour cream and onion chips yesterday because I was hungry but couldn't decide what to have (and felt a protein snack would be best). They were okay but not exactly like real chips.

So sorry you and your Dad went through that. My MIL had several of those trips in her last couple of years after falling into dementia. So hard when they can't really explain what is going on.

But no excuse for the hospital staff not properly communicating with you - they should know better.

I may try lowering the dose this next week depending on how the rest of the week goes. I actually did okay with dinner tonight, lunch was difficult which was just a Fairlife shake.

Sorry the meds can't be more moderate with you! I mean, it's great that they work for you, but it would be nice if you could at least shake the fatigue, and enjoy eating the smaller portions, instead of being turned off completely. Hopefully as you continue, your response to them levels out. After over a year of Wegovy, I'm pretty even keeled, although I do see a distinct pattern to my appetite according to how far out I am from an injection.
