Oh boy - homemade cinnamon rolls. Stuff like that used to be like heroin for me - just thinking about them used to drive cravings. That isn't happening now, but if they were in front of me I am sure I would HAVE to eat one too!

May you continue to have good days with your students and winery visits!

Yeah, maybe my temptation to overdo on nuts had something to do with the cocoa powder on them. It didn't add calories but probably added to the desire to overdo because of the slightly sweet taste added to the almonds.

My posting schedule is all out of whack. In the morning, I feel boring and by the evening it feels too late to post.
Errands today. I"m winding down and trying to get all the little stuff done before I go. The list is still lengthy. We also went on a boat ride as the weather was darned near perfect, then enjoyed a late afternoon fire in the Solo stove on the patio as it was too nice to go inside.
Tomorrow one of my dad's former work colleagues/friend is coming for a few days. She nice and interesting, but intense. You'd have to be to do what they used to do (managing money for huge institutional pension funds). They will likely do boat things and I need to continue my end of summer chores... making dinner tomorrow night for us all and the next night out to dinner. More food.
Food is kind of all over the map. Our neighbor, the baked good pusher, is at it again and brought us her homemade cinnamon rolls. I finally caved. It was enormous and delicious and I ate the whole thing. Now for the impossible - don't eat another!
So that's it here. Hope you all are well!
Quick post! Several of my co-workers are now using Wegovy/Ozempic with success. One is 44 and has a heart condition and a Mom my age with type 2 diabetes. I am so happy for her to have access to this medication that can improve her health beyond just the benefits of weight loss.
Our visit to the winery yesterday was excellent. I had a red wine flight while we sat on a shady lawn, listening to an excellent jazz quintet. Will definitely visit again.
Another good day with my students. I believe I need to report that things are going well after all the lamentations of the previous year. May it continue.
Cookies for sure to those who donate blood, along with our thanks!
Greetings all
The day started sunny but then the fog came in with a vengeance! Its thick! Gallery duty this afternoon and there were a few customers. Things will slow down from now until Christmas time which is fine by me. Gives me time to catch up.
Chili for at least one more night. This was an especially good batch. I think it's the super lean beef plus the high quality chili powder.
Yay Liz for completing the picture project. Sounds like DH birthday went well. Rooftop bar. Fun.
Paula you are a scrapbook fiend! Good for you for keeping all that stuff. You kids will love it someday if not now.
Not much planned here. Scrabble tomorrow. If I feel brave I might go donate blood since they are begging for O+ right now and I have it. Dr. said I am ok to donate. Truth be told it's an excuse to eat some cookies.
Yep nuts are a great protein source. Someone told me to get unsalted ones and then you are less tempted to overdo on them. Lately the almonds from the health food store have been not-so-hot. New source must be found. Sunnyland Farms mail order has great nuts.

Me too. I expect some food aversion as an injection peaks but at least I feel I can eat now and my energy the last 2 days has been better too! Hallelujah!
The problem is I have a whole closet full of scrapbooks. Each kid has about 10-12 12X12X5 inch books and I probably have the same number (or more) of family/vacation scrapbooks. I scrapbooked the kid's entire lives through high school and a little beyond!
So glad to read the food aversion has ended! It's one thing to be "unhungry", but a whole different thing to be food averse! I'm glad the "food noise" is quieted. That's been my experience about 95% of the time I've been on the meds. It certainly is a blessing!
