I had a tummy tuck and a face lift and it was 100% worth it. I sort of wish I had done my arms though they aren't bad and the plastic surgeon actually recommended against it as he thought the scars would be more noticeable than my arm wrinkles. I'm not sure about that. My face is softening up a lot after almost 8 years but still better than it was pre-facelift. I love having a flat tummy.
Your weight is about the same as my DH and DS. I bet you have more muscle than either of them.

We did that in the first 3 months of 2021 by using the money from renting out DH's Florida home: One month in Hawaii, one month in Arizona, and one month in the Florida Keys. We really enjoyed it - packed too many clothes and had to come home in between month 1 and 2 to get the dog and winter clothes for visiting the Grand Canyon but it was worth it. I would do it again but it does require that you both be healthy and fairly fit. Negotiating airports is not for the infirm. If we didn't have a second home I would do that for multiple years. But I have to admit that at almost age 70 I am looking forward to packing only once and staying put for a few months.

Sounds like your DS and his girlfriend have a great relationship so far. Reminds me a bit of how DD and her new DH started out.

Kirby is still a puppy. My stepdaughter's bernadoodle had that kind of exuberance and was difficult to be around when she was 1, but at 3 now she is pretty calm.

Greetings all
It's foggy here on the coast but 5 miles inland at the art and wine festival it was sunny. We watched our football team this morning as the game was early. Twenty minutes in there was a knock at the door. The Jehova's Witnesses. How do they manage to be everywhere in the universe at 10;30 am?
So the festival was fun but I did not stay a long time. No wine for me during the day time. Wears me out. There was some pretty good live music. The line for grilled food was a mile long so I ate a hot dog and it did not sit well. We toured all the art booths and most of it was earrings made of weird stuff. All the stuff was crafty and not that great. Disappointing because they have had nice stuff in the past. Oh well. My legs were hurting a lot and walking on uneven ground is not easy for me so I bailed. Glad I went though. It's a nice festival at a great location and its good to see it doing well after covid. Picture to follow maybe.
Well Liz we all hope you truly enjoy your day along with the newly weds and guests. DD is right, don't sweat details. It will all be great!
Yo Peps fast trip to tailor. Good thing you checked.
Yeah CC reaching a weight goal brings on the question "Now what?" Seems like a maintenance dose of the new meds is the answer. sounds like you are having a great time with guests and Kirby is too. My dogs are well grown and small and they still act horribly when guests come.
Paula the Florida conundrum! I think you are right to check out some other places for snowbird occupancy. Enjoy the search.
Not much else. Enjoy the weekend all.

Catastrophe averted!
I have to laugh, because it would have been a catastrophe of happy consequences.
Trying to take a page out of some of all y'all's organizational strategies I decided to get ahead on packing for my trip. Pulling my suits I decided to try on a dress shirt that had not fit my neck all that long ago. It fit, just not as loosely as I prefer. (I don't even like crew neck t shirts because they feel restrictive to me...) As I started to fold the shirt for the suitcase I thought, "Hmmm.... maybe best to try on the suit pants." OMG! They were HUGE! I tried to belt them, but there was just too much fabric. They were a tad loose in July when I wore them, but now they won't even stay up when I walk. So, I ran to the tailor at 3 pm and hot damn! he agreed to have them altered by 3 pm on Tuesday. Not only do the waists have to be taken in, he has to shorten the crotch and take in the entire inseam from crotch to hem. Basically, he's reconstructing both pair of suit pants. Thank goodness I am a regular customer. Otherwise, I don't think I would be getting such quick turn around and friendly service!
