The dinner last night was fun. I met some women and enjoyed talking with them. We sat at a table with the new president of my golf association and she was talking about changing the format of a lot of it to make it more welcoming and fun. Right now it is run like the guy's association. She was involved in a a golf association where she used to live where they did some of these things to encourage new women golfers to join and to make it enjoyable to play even when you are in early stages and not very good. Most of the 9-hole golfers are either at the beginning or end of their golf playing years.
I also got all the house cleaning done yesterday except for the floors which are DH's job to get done today.
I have golf this morning, then I am attending a meeting with the new association president in lieu of one of her other board members. Nothing planned for the rest of the day other than possibly a run to the store to get some stuff in advance of DSD's arrival tomorrow. Leftovers for dinner tonight.
Have a thriving Thursday!

205.3 Holding steady.... Time soon for a drop me thinks.
Oh, my legs are gonna be sore by the end of today. I guess I hit the legs harder than I realized. But I had a WONDERFUL leg appreciation day yesterday. I think you know my mom and aunt were always hyper critical of my thick and short legs. My mom a little less so, but my aunt was ruthless going so far as to tell me I should not wear shorts ever because my legs were that unsightly. Slowly over the past few years I have gained a real appreciation for the strength and musculature of my legs - especially my calves. Yesterday I asked a trainer at the gym to snap a few photos of my calves. DANG! I think my legs rock! Short, bowed, but they still FINE! LOL! I can't post it here, so I'll put a pic on TT.
Ophthalmology department called today to schedule my cataract surgery. It's next Thursday. LOL! Another day off school before I go. LOL! Oh, well.... Either next Thursday or wait until August, Sept, or October.
Too much on my plate today after school.... Visit with dad, check his PO Box, I have a phone appointment with a bronze artist for the national dog club at 3, a client at 3:30, have to bathe and trim Buster and hit the gym....Not much else today...
Just another Thursday....
I agree that your legs look amazing. You look super fit!

Productive day yesterday. Board meeting was drama free (except an empty lot owner who got very weird at the end in a way none of us could understand the point of - great, more weird neighbors!). The blind guy (shades, not sight!) came and diagnosed the issue. A bad motor. So there goes $500. It's been ordered. Very unfun money to spend.
But what was fun money to spend was turned out to be my outdoor furniture. I'm in love! It really was what the yard needed and all qualms disappeared as it was put into place. The things I brought from CA were the wrong style and not nearly enough of it. But the delivery men kindly took it to the roof (I tipped them well, they were great) and it looks really good up there. I could hardly lift one end of the metal dining table and one guy carried it over his head up the flight of stairs. Amazing. I need to lift weights. I put pictures on TT. Please come stay with me and try it out!
No plans today. I have a couple of tiny plants to replace some that aren't coming back after winter, so I'll do that, but that covers it. Hope you all have a great day!
I started to write something yesterday but never pressed submit!
Love, love the furniture! Definitively a resort feel now and the other furniture on the roof contributes to that.
Always something "unfun" to pay money to fix in a house it seems...

125.4, staying pretty steady!
Bible study went well today. Looking forward to our leader returning so I don't have to be the leader though!
DS3 is coming home tomorrow and sent me a pod cast of a debate between Christians and Atheists on the existence of God. I know he wants to discuss this with me! He is certainly exploring his beliefs (even though he was raised Christian and was baptized by his choice as a preteen). One of his majors is Philosophy so it makes sense that he is a big thinker (just like his Dad). I'm pleased that he is leaning toward Christianity but ultimately everyone's choice is their own!
We also raised our children in our faith, and they have had all the sacraments, so if they want, they can marry in the Catholic Church etc. But entirely up to them. DD goes to Mass by herself in Boston. DS is more of a Buddhist in his approach to spirituality, and I don't think he would call himself Catholic, although he may tell someone he was raised Catholic. His girlfriend was also raised Catholic. I'm curious to see if they get married and have a family if they will choose the rituals of the Church in these milestones. Like you, whatever any of my kids choose is fine with me. They are good people and lead good lives.
