She does, which doesn't make any sense, but I guess I'm an easy target.

BTW - she saw the hammer and sent this today. I am not going to respond even though I desperately want to:

"thank you for dropping off my hammer and wood. i had forgotten about them. its too bad you didnt knock on the door and have a chance to talk. it does show me however, how you value our friendship. Best to you"

What I want to say (and wrote out to make myself feel better), but won't because she is only looking for fuel for her self-pity is:

"Firstly, you had guests over when I came by. Secondly, the last thing you said to me was calling me vindictive. This is after you called me a bad friend, gave me 2 weeks of silent treatment, and ignored my requests to talk. I didn't want to give you another opportunity to hurt me. I harbor no ill feelings toward you, but this has been a terrible experience and has shown me how you choose to treat close friends. I wish you well in life and if you need me as a neighbor, I am here, but I cannot continue to be your punching bag over this. I'm sorry." Maybe I'll print it and burn it for therapeutic purposes...

The HOA president called this morning after talking to our lawyer and said we should not engage with her anymore and refer her to the management company.

Today I went by the Hunter Douglas store and showed them the video of my malfunctioning blind motor. He thinks he can fix it. I warned him it's 13 ft up. He said he built air traffic control towers and is used to dangling a few hundred feet in the air. More power to him. If it's more than two rungs up, I'm out.

That's about it. Stay fresh, cheese bags!

Personally, I think you should send it to her. It is clear, concise and lacks emotion, which IMO is PERFECT. Frankly, you deserve the last word. She's a whackadoodle and needs a comeuppance! But, I've got a ***** streak a mile deep that opens wide when my friends are wronged. Less so when someone messes with me, but damn, mess with my friends and my inner ***** be ready to rumble!

Thank you, my dearest Peps!!! We think similarly. My inner self is howling to defend myself, but the people I've shared it with have said to ignore it because nothing I say will change her thinking; that it just prolongs the inevitable and feeds her anger. But, gah! The injustice is sticking in my craw!

Ah, but sometimes it's not about HER change her thinking or opinion or coming around. It's about getting to have your say, whether she hears it or not. Sending the note/text/email is about getting it off your chest. Those of us who feel unheard often forego the opportunity to be heard in ugly situations because we're supposed to be "nice". So, we sit in our own **** while it festers.

One need not always take the high road. There will be time for that later, once you have said your say. Sometimes you just need to get dirty before standing up, dusting yourself off and taking the damn high road. Give the b/witch a piece of your mind!

IMHO people like her will always have to have the last word so best to stop engaging now. I like the idea of burning it...
