My cold seems about the same this morning as yesterday morning so maybe it will stay low-level? I hate being sick and haven't been for a long time. My stamina was a little low yesterday but not terrible and I did the usual stuff.
Younger DD and her SIL went to visit the older DSD in NJ for the weekend. So much fun, though younger DD is still feeling very washed out.
Today DH plays the second game of his 2 day tournament. He didn't do great yesterday but not horrible either. Some of the worse golfers withdrew after yesterday's game. Yesterday I went downtown and poked around while he was golfing, then we went to dinner at the Beach Club where the weather was absolutely perfect and the view was gorgeous. Today I'm not sure what I will do while he plays. We may go to an outside venue for music after he gets done in mid-afternoon. Leftovers for dinner.
But first, the bus leaves at 7:30 for Sunday breakfast. Have a sudden Sunday!

Good morning! Sounds like a beautiful Florida day with nice weather and fun plans. Hope your DH has a satisfying round of golf.
Sunny here, but not very warm. I think it will be in the high 40s. 60s will return the end of the week. I really enjoyed the days in Memphis where we could walk around in the sunshine without layers of clothes. I mostly wore sandals, and one day, even a sundress. The sun is warm here now if you are in a sheltered spot, but the wind still bites.
The turn out yesterday for the march was amazing. We drove to Minneapolis, parked and got on the light rail line that goes to St. Paul. We followed a group of about 10 with signs from the parking ramp, and thought, good, some others are going. When we got on the train, we were so packed in I felt a little panicky. Every stop, the platform was jam packed with people, but there wasn't an inch on our train. We talked to people who said they waited over an hour for an opening.
Today I need to do some laundry, read my NYT Sunday paper, and get my head straight for returning to work tomorrow. It's only been a week, but it feels like a long time ago. I had an awesome break, and really disconnected from stressful thoughts. We have one more spring break activity: we are going out to dinner with some friends this evening.
We're starting Romeo and Juliet, so I'm hoping that will raise my spirits! I have 9 unused sick days, and I've put in for 4, 1 for mammogram day, and 3 for DDs graduation in May. Pondering if I'll use any of the last 5 for mental health... I feel like I need a few in reserve in case I do get sick in the next 2 months.
Do you have the option to donate unused PTO. My hospital did this and had a PTO bank that people could apply for if they needed PTO but didn't have any left. I took advantage of the program when Ben was sick and later died. I took the whole month after his death off to grieve and get finances in order. I was so thankful to have that time and still get a partial wage! I ended up donating my leftover PTO back to the bank when I retired!
That's such a great idea. Insurance companies don't seem to embrace that concept of donating PTO for others who need it. They allow you to carry them over from year to year as long as they don't exceed a specified amount and pay you the value when you leave though.

Just a few months to go until you are on break from now on! Thank you for participating in that protest. There were some in the local area here too that I heard about afterwards. I wish they would have some effect.

Greetings all
It's raining today and we are supposed to get quite a bit. Off and on. Fine by me except it makes the lawn grow and I just have to pay for more mowings. First World problems.
So I am sitting here waiting for hair to dry. After that I will go to the gym to waddle around. Yesterday's music was the Beatles White Album. Then I need to stop at the hippie dippy grocery for my red rice yeast supplements and whatever else I can find. Might be a night for loose meat sandwiches. Did I mention I need to find some music that is not 40 years old?
I did not attend, but the Hands Off protest here at the courthouse was huge. Looks like it was huge all over. Good on you DD for going and using First Amendment. Quite the event.
Liz sorry you have a cold. Think zinc. But the best medicine may be just lazing about. Hope Mike's golf round is better. Head for the beach club while he golfs. Thanks for the shoe ideas. I will investigate.
Peps don't forget that BMI is a lazy and bogus shortcut for statisticians. You look great. No one on the planet would call you obese. sometimes I think BMI is about like determining IQ by head circumference . Not applicable.
So we watched the last of season 4 of Dexter last night. I was not prepared for that one!
Amazing how gloomy weather can make you feel like a 3 toed sloth.
Well next Thursday is the second eye procedure. Must get organized. Drops start tomorrow and various other things must be lined up and organized before then.
Yeah Paula you should see about art in shops on consignment. Lots of places do that - at least around here.
Our little grand niece is doing well. We get an update daily. Eating more and alert more. Such a gift.
