120.6 - unchanged since yesterday
Golf yesterday was fun - not my best game, nor my worst. If I could putt decently I would improve my game immensely. But my feet were killing me from the golf shoes. I have bunions and hammertoes (aka old lady feet), so even shoes which are rated high for comfort can hurt my feet. These seem to be hurting more and more. So... I ordered AllBirds golf shoes after reading several reviews. Their sneakers are really the only ones I can wear for an extended period of time so I bit the bullet. They cost about $50 more than the ones which are going to a donation bin but I just don't think I can put them on again.
Yoga today, then I'm not sure what we will do. Maybe beach again for a while. Dinner is likely out somewhere.
DH is playing in a senior men's golf tournament both weekend days so I will just be hanging around. Maybe doing some sort of project... Probably should find a place to donate some clothing and the golf shoes. I do need to get DH's very old laptop on the new network. It is too old to connect wirelessly.
Have a fabulous Friday!

I'm alive, I'm alive! Work on the home proceeds here apace. I've been doing more errands around town (picking up stuff, making decisions about everything from drawer pulls to wallpaper, etc.) and just not available much to be online.
The big news I have to report is that we now have the world's fanciest (and likely priciest) toilet that raises the lid, turns on its light, washes you clean with warm water after you have done your business, dries your nether regions, flushes itself, lowers the lid and turns off the lights, and for all I know styles your hair if you ask it to do that for you. Needless to say, we are both learning a lot about the joys of bidet'hood. DH is infatuated beyond belief, and I just think it's ridiculous.
This part of the world is now gearing up for the Big Event of the Year--Derby Week! I dunno what we're going to be doing, although I'm sure that bourbon and parties will on the agenda. Obviously, we won't be entertaining, since we'll either be moving our furniture in that week or just about to move our furniture the following week. Next year we'll put on the dog.
I haven't even had time to read the past week's postings here, which I hope to do this weekend. I hope everyone is doing well, that your loved ones are well, that your travels have been without incident, and that your weight has been stable. Xoxoxo

I can imagine that derby week must be a huge deal there!
A friend's father poo-pooed the idea of a bidet when his daughter bought him one until he was in his last years and all personal grooming became a chore. Then he praised it for allowing him to independently use the toilet.

I have a brother who's 73 who says that every one of his longtime buddies now has a bidet. They've lived pretty rough lives physically (they started out together as teenagers in Vietnam, spent a lot of time in the woods, worked physical jobs, did some farming on the side, etc.) and are simply not as flexible (especially in the shoulders) as they used to be, which makes "wiping" a lot more complicated than it once was.

I have one of those! Toto. I really like it aside from one awful aspect, which is the relationship of the oddly shaped bowl to the seat in combination with my person. How to put this... No matter how I angle myself to wee, there are splashes on the underside of the bowl seat. I end up cleaning it daily. Gross, I know, sorry! But it's such a disappointing thing. I'm not sure I would get one again, or I might need a different one. I've never had this problem before.
Yup, Toto here, too.
