120.2 - sinking back down nicely without thinking about it too much. DH is doing WW so that helps in that the foods we are eating/sharing are higher protein and lower calorie. He is only weighing on Wednesdays so hopefully he sees a good change. When he weighed last week after our trip he was up 3 pounds (he had lost weight prior to the trip). He wants to get fish to grill tonight with veggies. Sounds good to me!

Yesterday was a beach day and it was HOT! So weird after all the cool days prior to our trip. From one extreme to the other. This morning there is fog so thick that we can barely see the boat right in front of our building and nothing beyond it.

Today we have errands in the beginning of the day and DH and I are playing golf at 4:20. Possibly beach or pool time in between. I wanted to play golf before my association play on Thursday since I haven't in several weeks. This week is called a member-member tournament where you pair up with someone else in the association you know. Since I am new and so terrible I didn't know who to pair with but a woman I played with twice previously asked me if I wanted to play with her. She is a pretty good golfer and knows how new I am to it but we really enjoyed playing together before.

Have a amazing April Fools Day!

UGH! I typed up my post and BAM! it was gone. I don't have it in me to redo it right now. Maybe later.

Weight related news....

205.0 - Oh GAWD, don't let this be an April Fools!

DEXA scan today at noon. I am interested to see what body composition changes have been made since the last scan.

Later....

Well, BOOOOOOOOOO! My DEXA scan results were not as delightful as I had hoped. My Body Fat percentage WENT UP!!!!! DAMMIT!

I have lost 7 pounds since my last scan on 2 months ago. All of the loss was lean mass. What I must remember is that with a DEXA Scan lean mass includes anything that is not fat. That means, bone, muscle, blood and fluids. So, I'm just going with the belief that my fluids were down and I've lost a little bit of muscle mass. My body fat weight was the same as 2 months ago. Soooo.... Not what I wanted, but it is what it is.

On the positive side: all other reports keep me in the above average range for men my height and age.

Here is the most confusing aspect of the report to me: While my body fat percentage went up and weight of my body fat was within a tenth of a pound from the last time, MY VISERAL FAT WAS DOWN BY A POUND! Isn't visceral fat also body fat?????

Not knowing any of this I hit the gym right after the scan and had a helluva work out!

Very confusing results - quite surprising I think. Does this imply that if 1 pound of visceral fat was lost, that same pound was gained in another part of the body?

127.4

Visited my Mom today (she looked good)! Funny, she didn't recognize me at first! She saw me in January but doesn't remember that visit at all. She asked me if this is the thinnest I've ever been. It might be even though weight is a little higher. I'm bonier for sure!

Will be leaving soon to have dinner with my two besties! That should be fun!

Ill check in again tomorrow after visiting with Mom!

Good that Mom is looking good. Is her memory getting a little fuzzier maybe? Enjoy time with your friends!

Hello from the land of the Delta Blues! Beautiful day with sun and 70s. Today we took a city tour whi*****luded a BBQ stop, and then the Rock and Soul Museum. 2 times I've learned that Ike Turner's Rocket 88 is considered the first true Rock n Roll song. I told DH his well deserved unsavory reputation makes it difficult to acknowledge his talent. In fact, I didn't know he was so talented, I thought he was just good at marketing Tina. It reminds me of a controversial club discussion about supporting artists who have done really bad things, even if it was well in the past. I guess somewhat similar to wearing old fur coats...is it okay as long as you're not supporting the current fur industry? Anyhow, I thought it was interesting to think about some artists like Ike Turner and their impact on our culture.

After the lunch and museum, we went on a riverboat cruise. The Mississippi starts in Northern Minnesota and we've been to the headwaters. You can walk across it. And now it's Old Man River after that it's flowed so far from home.

We had an early dinner, then walked back to our room. We're going to try to head back to Beale Street around 8pm because it sounds like it is going to rain hard tomorrow night and all day Thursday. Its supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow and windy before the storms roll in. Tomorrow's tour is Graceland.
