120.2 - official weight of the week

DH did well yesterday with his eating but he looked like he was struggling (LOTS of water and wanted dinner earlier). He has been afraid to weigh since he started his regimen last week but I'm sure he dropped some because he was peeing a lot - that initial water weight.

Golf yesterday was fun though I played even worse than Sunday on the same course. I have some good shots but then the rest stink. It was also incredibly cold in the wind - my right hand was numb at one point. But the company was good - it was a member/guest tournament and my friend had fun. We played with another woman I have met before and liked and her friend. None of us actually played well so we were last getting off the course. My friend and I were dead last in the results. I'm not sure I am cut out for golf. I thought I was improving but then the last 2 times I have played have been my worst since I started. I have 2 weeks off from this league while I travel so maybe it will be better when I get back. At least it hopefully will be warmer.

Today I have yoga in the morning but then am unsure what we will do. The weather will be sunny with way less wind than yesterday so we should go find something outdoors to do.

Have a functional Friday!

As a new golfer you probably have to concentrate a lot with each swing. I bet the cold weather wears you out and makes it harder to do that. It will be interesting to see if your game improves when you can golf and not freeze at the same time. On the other hand, if it's not for you, you sure did give it a robust try.

212.1 REALLY???? So not fair.... But it is what it is. Up 2+ pounds over the work week. I know that I did not eat that in calories, so logically I know I'm okay, but it is still a mind f**k for me. I even had a good poop! LOL.

I had a great push-pull work out yesterday. My lats are sore. That is rather unusual for me. I did up my weights on dumb bell rows, though. I'm wondering if the working out Monday - Friday pushes the weight up over the week.

I have no clients this weekend. I'm looking forward to a "free" weekend. Yes, I have much I can always do, but I'm happy I will be able to pick and choose on my own time.

BFF and I will get a boys' night tonight. Ron is going with his church choir to a dinner theater group performance that one of the choir members is in.

Anxiety seems to be in better check this week. I'm sure there will be ebbs and flows over the next few months. The school board meets on Monday evening and will vote on retirees for the early retirement program. On Tuesday, I should be officially placed on the upcoming retiree list and can get all my paperwork started. Whoo hooo and fingers crossed... (though no one in the history of the district has ever been denied placement in the early retirement program.

Liz, do you suppose the cold has something to do with how you play golf? If your hand is so cold it's numb, I don't see how you could hold the clubs properly or with control.

Functional and Fruitful Friday to all!

Sorry the scale is being a biotch! I hate when that happens. Have fun with BFF tonight!

I bet those sore lats are related to your weight gain. This is what AI says:

  • Exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) Structural damage to muscle tissue that occurs after exercise. This damage leads to inflammation and fluid build-up, which can cause temporary weight gain.

129 even again!

Not very motivated for exercise today but did a 30 minute treadmill interval workout anyway. Glad it's done!

We are going out with friends to a Mexican restaurant tonight and then for drinks at a bar that specializes in tropical beverages. If I can't be at the beach, I guess we'll just have to pretend at the tropical bar! Predicted temp for Monday is now 59. I remember laying out in the sun slathered in Hawaiian Tropical oil and sun-in in my hair when the temp**** 60. Crazy teenager that I was!

No other plans for the weekend except for church and my character development class on Sunday. Next weekend all the boys will be home since DH planned a very early birthday celebration for me (bday is in May). May will be super busy with the wedding and other things so I guess it kinda makes sense!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Greetings all

Yet another sunny nice day. We are wondering where the rain is but it will find us. Spent the day on errands - up to the gallery to get the lease signed, to the gym to waddle, briefly to the studio and then to the Post office for passport appointment. Could not find my drivers license at first and had to waddle out to the car to look for it. Found it in a remote corner of my purse. Also they made me fill out the entire application again because the one I had allowed for three gender choices and the new form only has two. So I had to stand there and do it all over. I am sure they thought I was too dottering to go anywhere let alone abroad but they were nice. Those clerks work hard. It is a busy office.

DH temp crown fell off again. Dentist closed today so he stuck it back with the temp cement. No clue what to do except make soup.

Yeah Peps I bet the workout is the cause of scale misbehavior. Enjoy the night out.

Ditto Paula. Enjoy the tropical drinks and such.

Agreed Liz, if your hand is numb from cold you are not going to play well. But good on you for keeping at it.

Well I got my hair cut and it's pretty short for me. Kind of looks like a dandelion that is in the white puffy stage. I have a blocky head which was why I always had long hair but it was becoming a pain to deal with. At this age, life is all about seeking convenience.

So anyone who had the old application would have to fill out a new one??? That's crazy!
