I know what my body looks like. A melted candle. Yet somehow I just don't care that much anymore. I think I'm fine for almost 64. The problem here with this group is we've got too many who aren't just fine for their age, but killing it. Y'all setting the bar too high!!!

My loose skin is going to give muffin top sometimes. I used to obsessively wear shape wear as though muffin top was an ethical/moral failure. Now I'm more of the thought, How attractive of a body do I owe the world at this point? Can't I just exist? So what vanities I engage in now are for my own amusement and pleasure. (spoiler alert: I'm not really blonde, I'm actually not sure what color my hair is). It's liberating. I can't afford plastic surgery, but if insurance would pay for a panniculectomy, I would consider that. (Still exploring the option). The major reason: I think sheath dresses are so chic, but my loose skin makes them unattractive to me on my body. (They neither please or amuse me). But if I don't have a panniculectomy, I'll be fine. On the other hand, if I can't have red toenails I'm going to be very unamused. We all have our must have and our would be nice and our not worth the trouble. I say embrace yours, and don't worry, be happy.

Liz, I think a cold climate can lead to boredom. It's so uninviting to go anywhere, that you really have to be proactive about plans. If the weather were nice right now, maybe I'd go for a walk, pull weeds in the flower bed, fill the bird feeders, go to a concert in the park, go kayaking, go for a swim etc, but instead I am hiding under a blanket in the house, searching for the will to live another day. (Okay, its not that bad).

I made popcorn in the microwave for one of my classes today. Afterwards, a kid asked me with all seriousness, Do you have a toothpick? I don't know why, but the absurdity of such a question really amused me. I might keep a journal of absurd questions or statements these last few months.

I always have floss/pickers in my purse and car and when I worked in my desk! Not a strange question at all! I have an implanted tooth and can hardly eat anything without needing to extract bits and pieces!

And I agree, so many in this group look so good for their ages!

Red lipstick and nails are your signature! Of course you need to keep that up!

There are always many absurd insurance related questions that make you chuckle (my former profession).

BTW, in terms of your signature colors I have noticed that your daughter leans the same way and it suits her as much as you :)
