Oops - had to correct the year again LOL.

120.4 - injection day

I am playing golf in the Ladies Nine Hole Association today - big deal for me as I have only played with DH and friends previously. I am matched up with 3 women I don't know. A little nervous but hopefully they will be fun people and willing to explain what I should be doing. I don't even know how to report my score so I can get a handicap ultimately (I am currently NH - No Handicap).

The house is in good shape after our friend's departure early yesterday. The sheets just need to be put back on the bed. All Christmas decorations are packed away and I even swept the garage before storing the tree there.

We had the turkey pot pie I made after Thanksgiving and froze last night - it was really good! I haven't made something like that for quite a while and I think this one might have been one of my best. Leftovers from that tonight, then we go to Fort Lauderdale for 2 nights over the weekend. DH's DS and DIL who are living in Poland right now are there for a visit so all of DH's family will be flying in. Sort of a second Christmas with them plus celebrating the granddaughter's 13th birthday.

Time to get my act together. Have a thin thinking Thursday!

141.3, back down to where I was. I took the whole 5 mg dose today. Definitely have been having more food noise. Calories have been fine but protein has been lower. I'm just starting to notice done hair loss when I wash my hair now. I didn't lose too much after VSG so hoping the same holds true now.

I'm in the waiting room at the clinic waiting for DH to get done with his MRI. Not really expecting news yet today but hoping for tomorrow.

Good Bible study with the ladies this morning.

Temps are dropping again. Booooo!

Hoping CT scan suggests minimally invasive treatment, if any at all.

Go golfer Liz! And possibly making more friends in your community.

Christmas decorations and lights still up. We like to claim we keep them up until Epiphany. Technically, in the Catholic church, that's when Christmas time ends and we go back to ordinary time until Lent. Really, it may be procrastination. But let's call it practicing our faith.

Wild day at school with kids reporting to me black out drinking and someone sharing inappropriate pictures of another student. Some emails, some investigation, some chats with the school resource officer. Kiddos. Stop putting yourself in such dangerous positions.

Pub night tonight. Once the music starts, my mind quiets down. That will be very welcome.

It is cold here, 20 degrees, with a drop to 10 in the next few days, and some subzero nights. Boo! Last night I had restless dreams about trying to set up plans for Brazil in January 2026. I was dreaming half in English and half in Portuguese. I'm not nearly as fluent as I once was, but I can still manage. I look forward to spending more time there and getting some of my mojo.

So difficult to see kids make such dangerous choices in their naivety. We did too but now it is so much worse with social media. And don't we wish that they would listen to the adults in their life who give advice based on the stupid things they and their friends did at the same age?

Greetings all

Day 2 of 2025. Feels about the same as 2024. I made the tastee sandwiches yesterday for studio buddy to eat while watching football. More for tonight. It is more carbs than I need but so be it. I still have considerable restriction from my 15 year old sleeve and am grateful for that.

Rain today. I went to the gym and did my walking and played with the incline. There was another old lady walking next to me very slowly which I smuggly observed until I noticed she had the incline set at Matterhorn level. Oh well. Got it done. Went to the studio after that and had things to glaze and did so. The studio has elves that work there who take your things and fire them and return them ready to glaze. Its such a great place.

Paula yay on normal MRI!!! Hoping that means some minor kind of treatment (ie pill). So yay for Maui. Good news indeed.

It's dusk as I sit here and the Pacific tree frogs are singing. So much noise from such tiny creatures.

Liz I bet it feels good to get those chores done. I am assuming because I never get mine done so never have that feeling - tee hee. Chores: don't hold your breath.

We started a new netflix series - The Tourist. A man is in an accident in rural Australia and loses his memory. He begins to learn things and they are not all good. Another worthy series.

DD who says you can't leave decorations up? I will keep our little toy tree for at least another week or two because i like it. Wow, what a loopy day at school with the kids! Amazing anyone survives being a teen.

My college chat group brought up the topic of aging today. I am glad because I wanted to chat with people who are all my same age but I felt overly decrepit and also maybe not politically correct. But today I learned I am not the only one with balance issues (ok one woman had trouble getting on her horse - like I would even consider such a thing) but seems to be a more universal aging thing. So be it.

Still working on pairing the habits like balance stuff while cooking eggs.

Cheers all. It is indeed 2525. Diane S.
