118.2
Last day before 10 days of company. Looking forward to it and not looking forward to it at the same time.
Today we have the electrician coming to cut up the ceiling to move the chandelier. Hopefully our fix-it guy can come right away to make the ceiling look normal again. When we had to replace all the plumbing in the house that DH sold he did the same to cover the holes in the wall and we couldn't tell where they were.
More gossip around the alcoholic member with the long-suffering wife. Someone said he has been known to sleep around especially on golf trips with the guys where he will pick someone up. In some ways I hope his wife doesn't know but maybe she should? Just an incredibly messy situation which I gather has been in place for many years.
Tonight we have a country western themed dance. I got cowboy boots and a hat from Amazon to wear. Not sure if I will wear jeans or a dress. DH is planning on jeans.
We need to get out on our long Justice walk early. Have a tightrope Tuesday!

149.5, same.
Nothing really to report today. Grey weather day again, might get snow by Thursday. DSD is getting it ND today, so I expect DD will be getting some as well.
We were supposed to have a lunch date but the rainy weather kept us inside. Having a Fairlife for lunch!
Still slowly selling scrapbook stuff. Basement also slowly getting organized.
Tonight I'm making beef stroganoff for dinner. One of my favorites as a kid! It is kinda putzy to make but tastes good. I'll freeze a good bit of it for a future meal!
I love beef stroganoff. Good comfort food.

Liz, it's possible the wife doesn't want to know. My BFFs husband was a cheat, and it was obvious he was cheating, but she was in denial. She found a picture of what turned out to be a mistress, unpacking a suitcase in a hotel room. Her husband told her he had loaned his camera to her. And she decided to believe him. Coincidentally, he had been away, alone, on a self care weekend. Hmmm. But I don't think that's uncommon. If you're not ready to leave or be done with it, its self protective. Or maybe she does know, and lives with it. It's a hard deal to make with yourself, but some people do it. Again, so thankful for my DH.
Beef Stroganoff! OMG, that sounds so good. I haven't made that in such a long time.
It's so dark here! Cloud cover, rain, and the sun is already so low in the horizon, not much natural light today. My working from home day is going great! I'm a report producing machine. And also doing laundry. I washed all the blankets, sheets and duvet cover for our bed. I'll get to the two guest beds before Thanksgiving.
The salmon left a lot to be desired last night, but I ate as much as I could. Not sure what's heading my way tonight. I know its not beef stroganoff!
If I were to guess she is like your BFF. Really lovely woman in all ways - she doesn't deserve it, but we all make choices for our own internal reasons.

Home from Santa Fe! Freezing there, but we had fun. I like it there. Yesterday, I had 17,000 steps. Kirby had a great time at sleep away camp according to his report card. I had them give him a bath so he's squeaky clean.
I found a ceramic totem pole there by a folk artist that I think I'm going to get. It absolutely goes in the category of ridiculous purchases, but it's so cool. They actually will bring it to me and set it up. Crazy, I know! But each figure has at least 4 pieces and there is a very specific way they fit together... It's 95" tall, which is great because of my high ceilings.
She's really renowned in the folk art world and they have delivered her totems as far away as Switzerland. So whimsical! It's totally going to have to go behind a fence to keep Kirby away.
Anyway, now I have 2 days before my next set of houseguests come in. I will need a month to recover...
Onto laundry for me. Take care all!
I agree with Diane S -- get it! In fact, ALWAYS get the art. :)
I adore Santa Fe and absolutely ADORE Taos where I lived for 10 years and found it to be the perfect place for me after 20 years in L.A.
That part of the world is American in such a unique way that most Americans know nothing about. So crazy that the big plaza in Santa Fe (and several buildings on the plaza) were built before the Pilgrims landed.
