Oh, DD ... you are SOOOO going to love retirement. Just think of everything new you can learn and everything old you can now understand more fully. We are so fortunate to have these later years to enjoy our changing perspectives and what they offer us.

Greetings all

It's a mixt day of sun and clouds. But an atmospheric river is predicted for later tomorrow. Rain is good but high wind is not. It means we must be prepared for power outages. DH has all these big batteries to run the fridge and furnace fan and tv. Also there is a memership meeting at the gallery but if it is crappy I will email my report and skip.

So I did my gym walk and am ever so slightly edging up the time. There were grunters and the tv set was on QVC which I hate so I just had to power through the adversities. Then it was on to the studio where I made several owls. Bank visit after that.

I made chicken and mushrooms last night. Not bad. More tonight and I will toss in spinach.

Yow everyone is on cleaning and home improvement rampages! Good on all of you for getting it done. I can't even imagine cleaning the upper cabinets. Whats to clean?

Well DD hope the salmon goes well. Wine helps. Your DH will learn that it's important not to overcook it and that less is more (less heat, less additions etc). Thanks for the reminder that fish can be cooked at home. It is possible. And yay on art history. Art history is in fact HISTORY and not just art. Love it. One of the best college classes I ever took was Latin American Art history. Mayans, Aztec and post columbian. It says so much about the times.

So Paula, you are now butt free?! Congrats. Now you have to carry a cushion around. Good deal. And good on the landscaping too.

Well I hope to take a picture of guy on horse around town but don't hold your breath. I usually see him when I am in the car.

We watched the Barbie movie last night. Pretty good. DH was so bummed about political stuff that we could not even watch SNL.We also watched an episode of Brokenwood Mysteries which is quite good.

I had to look up Atmospheric River - thanks to Google's AI, I now know that is how the west coast gets most of its rain (and also about the Pineapple Express LOL). When I used to travel to Seattle on business I always was intrigued at how the weather forecast in the winter was different by altitude. No such forecasts on the east coast.

I will have to look up Brokenwood Mysteries next.
