I'm so sorry Justice is suffering. I hope that it's residual from the anesthesia, and that he starts to feel better soon. I'm glad you're calling the vet...

Nothing much new here, except spending lots of money on our house, ugh. A roof repair today and then later a repair to our French doors leading to the backyard. I HOPE they can get it fixed--I had one quote for $15,500 to replace it--my jaw dropped. A second quote for $7500, which still shocked me. In the past, we usually just moved, lol, before we had to do major repairs. This house was new when we bought it in 2009....but time passes. Weight is holding steady. I did gain back about 5 lbs, on purpose, and feel like I'm at a good place right now IF I can continue to maintain.

I too like to move before things become a problem! My previous two houses I bought new and moved 10 and 17 years after. This one was 5 years "used" and I was annoyed by how much needed to be done early on to keep it in good repair.

Quick Justice update: He is 90% better. It was a combination of pain, gastric distress, and lack of sleep. He did not sleep at all last night, then had gastric issues at both ends and wouldn't open his mouth for anything. So I couldn't give him the pain meds by mouth this morning. They checked that the extraction areas looked good and he had no fever. They did give him the sub-q stuff to make sure he rehydrated, plus injections for pain and nausea. He will be on a bland diet once he eats. He walked into the house with his tail up, quite a difference from the shaking and constant moaning this morning. And with the pain meds he was finally able to rest his muzzle so he could sleep soundly (he wouldn't put his head down last night which is why he didn't sleep).

Great news for the now convalescing in comfort pup-star. Pain with an open, don't know when or whether it will end, factor is fearful to me - for myself as well as for any living thing. Rest well, little Justice.

Greetings all

Sun is out and it's almost hot. Slept late as DH went early to a doctor appointment. He had some more leg vein stuff done. I hope it's really needed but I guess so. He is now sentenced to 72 hours in compression stockings. Not fun on a warm day.

Spent some time in the studio trying desperately to make stuff for my sparce display. Talk about hot! I went out into the kiln yard and with two huge natural gas kilns firing all day it was pretty warm. But its a nice place to be in the rain.

DH went to costco and brought home a chicken casserole. Thats dinner for a few days. Good thing. As mentioned the salmon roll up was a bust. I felt like I was eating a goldfish sandwich. Even Tesla would not eat it. But Poppy the Pig did.

Poor Justice! Sorry he was feeling bad but glad he got some additional help. He is a little guy! How would any of us feel if we lost 7 teeth. Seems like little dogs have more dental issues. Once my old cairn grabbed the other one and pulled a canine tooth right out of its head! It was sticking out sideways! Took her to the vet and they pushed it back in and it was fine. Who knew?

Yeah house repairs are expensive. Much of our home has been replaced. Roof, siding, flooring, ductwork, bathroom. Not much left. Deck is next.

Movie popcorn CC! It's the best. Not sure why - maybe the smell when you come in. But I remember old Kmart years ago had popcorn and the whole store smelled like stale popcorn and it was awful. I assume I could just go in the theatre, buy popcorn, and leave since they now sell the tickets at the popcorn stand.

Car mice!! Years ago I had that in a car I didn't drive for awhile. They had a nest made of kleenex. Agreed - how could you know you had mice until you opened it up to look?

The bear is still in our neighborhood but I have not seen it. Just as well.

CC glad your dad has meds including codeine. Thats the only thing that works. Hoping for rapid recovery for everyone's sake.

Hey I have a few sweet pea blooms. Purple, lavender and white. Pic when its peaking.

When I was a kid, friends and I took our dime or 15 cents and hung around the local 5&10 candy counter huffing the wonderful endorphin loaded smell of roasting nuts and deep frying Spanish peanuts. Instant gratification the moment the coins changed hands for the warm paper bags of goodness.
