Protein wine - now that's a novel idea!

When we had our first meeting with Liz and DH, I explained how Liz and I grew to be online friends, and we wanted to meet in person. The 2nd time I said, I'm planning lunch for us with my friend Liz and her DH. This time I said, Our friends have invited us to visit.

When we were driving there, DH asked if Liz knew I was taking Wegovy, since he knows I only share that with a select group. I said oh yes, these drugs are a daily topic with our group, and your experience with them is too. :) I really look forward to seeing Liz and DH this summer when we're on the east coast, and I really do hope we can have a gathering at some point.

Spent the day relaxing at the pool, sunshine and mild. In a bit we are going to Disney Springs to a restaurant we lime called Wine Bar George. Wine, and yes, charcuterie!

Interesting how posts are posting today. Perhaps a system wide glitch????

Weather was back to gray and cloudy today. Eventually the clouds broke up and we got some pretty sunshine, albeit far too cold for my taste - especially after a weekend of shorts and even flip flops yesterday.... Though I was still wearing a sweat shirt/hoodie thing.

Side effects seem to be waning. I feel normal, but stomach is still a bit grumbly and bloated on and off during the day. What I am noticing the most is a lack of real hunger. Today breakfast was had at around 11. It was a Fairlife Core protein shake (very nice, but not as nice as the regular Costco Fairlife shakes - protein is lower and calories are a tad higher with the Core shakes). I then ate lunch around 12:30. I ate slowly and steadily taking many breaks. No problem with nausea or over filling today.

Let's talk about the food noise..... For me it was GONE within 8 hours of taking the shot. I took the shot Thursday before bed. So, today is the 4th full day with it onboard. There was a b'day celebration at school today. There were brownies and delicious looking chocolate layer cake for the taking. So, so easy to resist. There was no internal battle. There was no temptation. It was as if I simply had made a decision that the cake was not on the plan for the day and that was that. It really was a new and quite powerful feeling - but it felt so NORMAL. I wondered if this is how normal people navigate their food lives!?!?!?!

Tonight Auntie Kathryn brought her dog for a trim. She arrive with arms filled with a box of donuts and a whole pizza as a thank you. (Mind you she is on a low carb diet....) I could smell the pizza and the donuts while I trimmed her dog. Again, no temptation. Just annoyance that she arrived with calorie dense food. With the semaglutide on board, these unexpected foods seem not to be an issue. I can decide whether or not I want any of it or not. The semaglutide feels like it might be a game changer for me. I certainly did not feel this same nonchalance about food post WLS.

As I type this, I'm hungry, but there is no urgency. I will most likely be satisfied with a much smaller dinner than normal, too. Who knew....

While I didn't have a margarita Monday, it certainly has been a marvelous one!

Looks like a glitch but I actually know who it is. So, so weird!

That is my wording but the rest is from somewhere else

Long dresses ate the best, no need to worry about Minnesota pasty white legs!

Very nice to hear you are feeling benefits from your treadmill sessions. A good lesson for me to remember that moderate and steady efforts can pay off.

I can't even imagine what it would be like not to be tempted. I went food shopping after delaying lunch yesterday and everything appealed!

I am leaning toward doing that (online consultation/compounding)
