A gloomy but not rainy day (so far). DH is having the cedar shingles replaced on the house so there are workmen here to remove the old shingles. So far Justice has only emitted a few "burfs" (not a full bark but a sound that somewhat softly emits from the lips LOL). We keep telling him what a good boy he is. I suspect he will have some problem restraining himself when he can see them right at the windows ;)

I think we shall take a long walk with him shortly to put him in a good mood.

Last night we had dinner at SILs with DS and other SIL and BIL (all on deceased DH's side). I feel so lucky to have maintained them as my family and that DH feels fully comfortable with it as well.

Time to get changed to bring Justice for his walk and relieve my typing pain. The ant-inflammatory helps but does not fully relieve it like the cortisone did.

Another overcast day which is normal and pleasant to me. i went to the studio and did some glazing and carving. The place was very busy with some kind of class going on. Always makes me proud to see the place doing well. Must get busy on its future planning.

Burrrfffs! Yes Liz thats exactly what they say. Around here it tells me the neighbor cat is in the front yard. Hope that roof gets done soon. Not pleasant to have the noise. Yikes, typing is painful too??!! Not fair.

Speaking of burrffffs, I forgot to report the important news that on Wednesday morning DH looked out the front window and spied a dead rodent lying on the front walk a few feet from our steps. I think it was a gopher. There was no appearance of traumatic injury but I suspect the neighbor cat, who considers our yard to be his territory, placed it there. There are gophers in our front yard but not in the back due to our terriers. Anyway, DH got rid of said varmint.

After the studio I stopped at CVS, which I hate, because it's the only place that has Gevalier coffee around here. Score!! It was on sale for half price. I stocked up. Then on to the health food store for some deli stuff and avocados.

Not much else. Delete chicken tonight. And I checked out our tortured tree and it is making loads of little leaves. Who knew? I thought sure it was dead.

Five days until our football team plays. True sign that fall is on the way. Also the naked ladies blooming lilies.

Hey all! just cooked dinner for guests, so I've been staying busy. I smoked a pulled pork yesterday, but my smoker thermostat is acting up and took 14 hours! Insane. It didn't finish until 12:30am. I was tired today.

I am bummed about the puppy, but in the end, I wasn't ready. I'm not a spontaneous person and I need time to make a plan and get the puppy home easily, which probably means flying. I also had no puppy equipment here, I could buy it, but I have it all in AZ. So, when the timing is better.
