You know as we get older I think it is the mobility issue that concerns all of us the most. Just after I hauled myself up the ladder to the bungalow a while ago I remarked to Mike that it was a good thing we did this now because in 10 years we might not be able to manage that ladder.

Here's the ladder - it has a lot of stairs going down into the water but you still have to be fairly comfortable holding on and climbing down:

Makes sense now! I wasn't thinking in and out of the water and was visualizing you climbing a ladder into and out of your bungalow. The picture in my head was very Robinson Crusoe but over water!

Before I had surgery, I was swimming off my uncle's boat. Having the time of my life, until it was time to use the ladder to get back on the boat. I could not pull my bulk out of the water on the first couple of trys. I think a shot of adrenaline finally helped me. But it was scary, feeling like I was stranded in the water...
