And even after this many years I bet you often miss something she would say or wish you could ask her something
Greetings all
The sun is out and we are all loving it. Lawnmowers buzzing about the neighborhood. Misc errands to run and time at the studio. I had not been in since the kiln opening so thats always fun. Picked up a few groceries. My new addiction to avocados requires frequent grocery store visits to get ones that are ripe for a split second. Stopped in to the new local pharmacy and am so grateful to not have to get meds at CVS.
I kept wondering how I was getting so much done at the studio so fast and then I realized I had not reset the clock there. Oops.
Yay Liz no more water boiling. I cannot imagine how people lived in pioneer days with no running water or electricity. I do, however, remember life without the internet. Barely.
CC that fancy event will be fun. I hear you about regretting stuff like that. Not sure if you want to go but glad you did. the worst part for me is dressing up.
So our friend whose husband died unexpectedly has asked for help with finance papers and such. Thats what I did lots as a lawyer so I think I can help ease burdens. Hope I have not forgotten everything and can do some good.
More pizza tonight. I am actually kind of sick of it. One slice is a full meal. I did get some salad in a bag at the grocery as I am feeling totally guilty for not eating enough veggies.
Not much else new. DH was supposed to put up robe hooks in the bathroom today. I have not yet checked but the odds are about 50/50 he got it done. Any bets?
DD hope the med visit goes well. My personal experience with the hematologist is you leave a large amount of your blood there every visit. But at least they have good sticker people! Be well.

Sun makes everything better doesn't it? Funny when pizza starts to be boring. I will probably be happy to have some this summer after several months without having any.
Yeah for Liz's team, they are bocce ball bosses!
What an awesome mental health/ appointment day. Argh, it did make me want to be retired though! I went shopping in the morning, and saw my future as there lots of senior citizens that looked to be in their 80s out and about. Picked up a few things, mostly on clearance, which makes it even more fun.
My appointment with my hemotologist was all good. I will continue taking blood thinners for as long as I am on Tamoxifen. That will be, at a minimum, 3 more years. I need to be careful of falling, because of the potential of internal bleeding, especially intracranial. Working hard on not falling because of osteoporosis, so I'll keep at it. And a strong recommendation to wear the dreaded compression socks when I travel. Next month I have a mammogram, and appointment with my endocrinologist, then in May I see my oncologist. I have a lot of "ologists" in my life.
After the appointment, DH and I went to work out, then made a big pot of chili when we got home.
So back at it tomorrow. The mood in the building is sometimes sad, sometimes grim. I am trying to focus on this year is great, I have awesome classes and students. Its the last semester teaching with my team teacher. We've been teaming in English 9 for 9 years. We work together so well, and have a lot of fun, so I want to savor these last few months. I will worry about next year at the end of August.
A friend of mine has zippered compression socks which he finds much easier to get on and off. Certainly not lovely but they work.
