DD and her DH made it to Florida! The weather is perfect here now so hopefully they will have a fantastic vacation.

Six days until we leave. And weirdly potentially the last 6 or so days in this house as we will return just for the closing, then move stuff to the condo. Yesterday we booked the re-piping of our current home, a large picture in the kitchen fell down, and the shelves and clothes rod in the owners closet fell down! Arghhhhhh.... The realtor says we will increase value more than the cost, I put the picture up, and we have a guy to fix the closet on Monday. Nothing like cutting it close.

I booked our annual Aruba trip to my timeshare today. And whoops, first I booked the wrong dates (too early by a week). Having the extra week between the closing and Aruba is a plus but the flights were WAY more expensive. This is the most expensive year ever for the flights. Oh well, life is short.

Time to get my act together for a Justice walk and then the Beach Club. This is the only day this week with no errands/commitments.

Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Greetings all

We have snow on the ground! I have never seen this here in 20 years. Several inches though its melting but more is coming. Being from the midwest it's kind of a nothing burger to me but everyone else is all excited. I hear kids out playing in the snow and thats fun. As a kid I got extruded into a snow suit and sent out to play but of course got sick of it in 10 minutes. Just north of the gallery they closed the 101 due to ice and snow. Nothing else to be done as there are no snow plows here. DH probably owns the only snow shovel on our street and even has a window scraper.

So DD while you are in Florida think of me in California in the snow! That will provide enjoyment to your sun bathing. Ditto Liz.

No plans today other than Tesla has a trip to the vet at 5pm for shots. I am mildly concerned about roads because while they are fine now, they could ice up as the sun goes down. No one here knows how to drive. And there are no road crews. I may see if I can get DH to drive us in our old suv which has 4 wheel drive. No clue how the electric car will drive on ice - probably like any other car.

The dogs have no interest in going out into the snow which surprises me. Everyone in this house is napping except me.

So I really must do something about my boobs. All bras are uncomfortable. Has anyone tried those camisoles that have some boob support? I may order one just to see. In fact, ordering clothing is on my agenda as i just got a new coldwater creek catalog.

The eagles are breaking my heart. No signs of hatching and they may be non viable but the parents are still valiantly sitting. And there is a huge storm going through so the nest camera shows this eagle mom covered in snow and sitting on the rocking windy nest. Makes me sad.

Peps did you get snow? Are your dogs wimps like mine?

Not much else. I am tempted to go back to bed and watch true crime all day.

Cheers. Diane S

We had a fun day. We went to Cottonwood and had lunch at a really good bbq place (my folks loved it). We drove around the area and ended up driving up to Jerome (old mining town) and looking around. We went to the state park museum there. Very interesting! And we all really enjoyed it. Sometimes I'm such a bad judge of what my dad will enjoy. He was not super enthused about going in, but was engrossed by the displays and the video they show explaining the town. Then he raved to the state park worker in the gift shop. Love it!

Tonight I have a fever and no other symptoms. No idea why I do, but I'm freezing. Other than today, I haven't been anywhere after being sick last week! Sigh. Maybe it'll be gone tomorrow.

Waiting on more snow tonight, but aside from very strong winds, we haven't gotten much from the west coast storms.

Hope you all had a nice day!

I hope you feel better today! Those little mining towns are neat. We went to one last year but I can't remember the name.
