It is the last weekend of September! Hard to believe.

We met a lot of friendly people last night at the clubhouse and then dined with a couple of them. The wife loves to get people involved. Very helpful for me in deciding if we are going to stay in this development. The food at dinner was okay - not great so I didn't eat much. But the wine was good!

We are watching a hurricane currently looking like it will hit the other coast of Florida later in the week. Still early days to really determine the eventual path. The best way to stay informed about them is to look at NOAA's hurricane site periodically. I learned that when I was in Miami with eldest DD in the summer/early fall of 2004 when multiple hurricanes threatened Florida.

Today we might hit some golf balls and maybe go to an outdoor bar/music venue we like this afternoon if it isn't raining. It doesn't look promising right now.

Have a satisfying Saturday!

My dad's wife's sister went home today. So quiet here again! It was a beautiful (but long) drive yesterday.

Rainy today. I want to go get a plastic box to put all my shoes I leave here in in case the rodent remediation doesn't work. I also promised to make brownies today. They actually freeze well and my folks are people who can have that stuff in their freezer and eat it sparingly unlike me.

I hope that hurricane steers clear of you Liz! Did you see the one that is going to go ashore in Nova Scotia? Crazy.

Take care all!

I am dog showing and immensely enjoying GOAT 3.0. Besides constantly waking to hack up a lung, I slept well. The bed is very comfortable and the climate control is fantastic - unlike any of the previous GOATs!

Weight continued to drop over the week. That is good. I sort of feel like it happened in spite of me. I don't really feel I put much effort in to dropping those few pounds, but that it was a gift from the cold. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth! LOL!

I've been thinking about the WL med topic. I know for me it's not a good choice for where I am on my journey, but I can sure see the benefits if it helps control cravings, drive to eat, etc.... I'm still curious if something like the med DD is using is a "forever" drug or if it's only to be used during weight loss? I think that would make a big difference on how a med is used and it's long term benefits.

I was up well before the sun today and was in the show ring by 8:00 am. Now we are waiting for the groups. I'm hoping to be all done by 3:30 so I can nap before going to dinner with friends.

Not much else here!

Greetings all

Sunny day here. My mission was to inspect the new locally owned pharmacy to see if I want to move my stuff there. Most likely I will. CVS is not doing well. I decided to get the shingles shot and while I was waiting a cute thing happened: A woman with a little girl, probably 5 or 6, came in. The girl announced she had been to a party. The pharmacist said " oh wonderful, what did you do at the party?" The girl replied "I got this wand, played games and ATE SUGAR"! Had to laugh. The kid only gets sugar at a party. Then there was a lengthy discussion about whether she could have a lolly pop. At that age I would have held out for chocolate!

The on line musings of my college class reminded me of one of the events of freshman year where we had to be measured and be within 10 pounds of ideal weight. The penalty was extra gym classes. I passed but was so worried I would be sentenced to extra gym. I so can't believe this liberal college did fat shaming at that age! I wondered if kids who were underweight were sentenced to mashed potatoes.

No football today. Our team is off this week which means they cant lose. Oh well.

Liz that beach club sounds like a good deal. Important to have a hang out. Your social schedule would kill me but I love hearing what you guys do. Ditto everyone. Peps that GOAT is a mansion on wheels. And waiting for groups! I know what that means!(not that I have done it more than about once in my life).

I went to the studio for awhile and made some clay figures. Came home to more emails about the gallery by laws. Another tempest in the proverbial tea pot. But I sort of enjoy being the guru. People want to know if I think censorship is going on. Not illegal if everyone agrees to it.

Well time to cook rice for the old dog.

Cheers all. Diane S
