Quick post! I have lots to do on my last day on Cape Cod.
Yesterday was a somewhat lazy day. Lunch out with old friends, binge watching the last season of Call the Midwives, and dinner out with DS. I had half of a good burger. Really good! But then I wore some older PJ pants since my current ones are packed. The good news is that I got them on. The bad news is that they were very tight. TIME TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT DROPPING SOME POUNDS. I refuse to buy any more new clothes.
The offer went in for the cottage. No word yet. A piece of me wouldn't mind if I lost it because there will be the work involved in getting it closed. But we shall see.
It is time to go finish winterizing here, take a shower, go to the hairdresser, drive to Mike's Cape house to put his car in the garage there on a trickle-charger for storage, pick-up a rental car on the way back to my house, drop off a box for shipping to Florida, put my car in the garage on a trickle-charger for storage, then finish packing. Whew - makes me tired writing this, LOL.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

A beautiful day here! I sleep so well here. The quiet, the temperature, great mattress... We walked again this morning, then I had lunch, called to make an appointment for my car, and took a drive to see if the check engine light would go out after filling up with gas (did not).
There was a bat in the big house yesterday (my folks', thankfully, not my house), but after trapping him in the sunroom and leaving door open all night, he left.
Tonight we're going out to dinner. The scale has dropped for 3 days in a row. More activity and less junk food helps. I think that's all I have to report!
More activity, less food, more sleep and less anxiety!

Didn't get the cottage - some other crazy bidder got it. Not a big deal. Something else will come up.

Liz, your list made me tired too! Florida will be a relief!!
CC it's good sleeping weather here in the North Country. Lake air probably makes it even better.
Diane, as Halloween approaches, cleaning service and catering are the way to go!
Well, my prescription was filled, so I guess I'll try it out. When you read all the warnings, it gets very daunting. My clinic assures me its a medication that's been used safely for years. I can stop taking it if I don't like it. It would be a plus if it is indeed sedating, because I'd love to be able to fall asleep earlier. I just can't seem to really sleep until after 11pm, and I have to get up around 6am. By Thursday, I'm running a decent sleep deficit.
My students continue to be angels for the most part. And not having an overage means I get a prep hour. It's been an easier start than most years. I'm savoring it.
Good luck on the medication - I am anxiously awaiting the results.
And an easier start to the year sure makes it all easier.

Greetings all
Slow day here. I did some studio work but spent most of the time there blabbing with other members. The place is as much a hang out as anything and I am grateful for it. Then I stopped at the hippy grocery hoping to find one of the great pot pies. They had them but veggie only. No thanks. I ended up getting chicken tenders and salad. The rest of the deli selection was disappointing. Too much mystery tofu.
DH is allegedly making a run to the dump with all this old crap from the yard as well as the old fence boards. I am paying our neighbor to help. She is the one who helped clean out the garage when DH was out of town.
DD glad your school start is going well. And keep us posted on that medication.
Lordy Liz, slow down. Time for Florida indeed.
CC glad you are enjoying being back in MI. But a bat! Icky. I know they are good creatures but they can stay away from my house. Hope you get no more grief from your "tenants".
Cheers all. Diane S
