Time to leave for the closing. The place is clean and all my personal items are out. I am feeling a little sad.
Possibly more later!
Have a safe and healthy Tuesday.

I went home and SLEPT yesterday. I don't know if 4 hours of napping counts as a nap, but that's what i did! Got up shortly after 8 to eat dinner and was back in bed by 11. Not sure if it was the Zyrtec I took combined with the cold, but whoa, was I wiped yesterday. I am feeling much better today, and am well medicated. DayQuil and prescription cough meds to the rescue. My abs and lats are super sore from coughing. I am really pleased that today the cough has subsided and when I do cough, it's productive.
I did take another Covid test yesterday and was still negative. Just a run of the mill, good old fashioned cold.
Gradually, my weight is creeping back up to pre Norovirus weight. Not surprising. But, if I can keep a little bit of the weight off, I will be happy. I really do need to start making a concerted effort to eat more fruits and vegetables!
Back to working out today.... Hopefully, I can be consistent going forward.

I take Zyrtec daily - it's not one that makes you sleepy, so that was likely all healing tiredness you had! I am on day 17 and still coughing. I've had enough of this ab workout... But thankfully the nose blowing and sneezing are long gone. I hope you get the worst of it behind you soon! (And I took 4 Covid tests. I got massive side eye at the hematologist yesterday whilst hacking away behind my mask in the waiting room. I finally choked out, it's not Covid!)
Liz, I would imagine you would feel a little sad, you built a community there. My parents owned their Florida house long enough for me, just an annual visitor to put down some roots. I had stores and restaurants, walking routes, got to know some folks... I feel sad I won't be going back ... But it has also been nice knowing I can take my spring break vacation anywhere I want now (well anywhere I can afford, spring break airfares are nuts!).
I'm glad I pushed through and went to work today, because when I arrived there was more sad news. A 9th grade student died last night of apparently, natural causes. I did not have him as a student, but many of my close colleagues did. I had his older brother when he was a 9th grader. I was glad I was able to be there to support students (I teach primarily 9th grade) and my friends. I don't think it's even been a month since we lost a 10th grade student to a car crash...
It's also teacher appreciation week, so the staff room was full of treats. What better way to sooth a sad and weary soul... I'm so tired at this point I don't even have the energy to process mentally what glorious junk I asked my body to process physically. I don't think this is a good way to treat a cold however. Time for a protein drink to offset the nonsense eating...
Greetings all
Scrabble day here. I managed to defeat the mega killer player - someone I rarely defeat. Lost the last game. Oh well. Its a fun group who love this game and talk about other nonsense.
Then I took a deep breath and made the trek to Winco, the big discount grocery. Its usually mobbed but today was not too bad. I dread that store because once you enter, you have to follow their path down a very long aisle so there is no way not to go through the entire store. It was fine. I got the few things I needed plus many I don't but their prices are way below other stores. Plus $2 pizza by the slice on the way out the door.
Liz glad your closing is done. Hopefully you can stay in touch with those friends. I so admire your ability to make friends every where you go and keep them too.
CC I am kind of like you - a loner. I love it when DH goes out to lunch because I can do whatever I want. Not that I don't anyway but its nice to have the house to yourself. And daily laundry? Seems odd. DD your friend sounds weird to wash non stop but oh well. I have a friend whose SIL would be stripping the sheets off the bed while you got up to use the bathroom. My brother is sort of OCD about his house and stuff. I guess we all have our little quirks but daily laundry of the prior days outfit?
DD so sorry for the loss of the student in your school. Nothing is worse than death of a child.
Gallery duty yesterday and it was pretty slow. All my sales were at one minute after closing due to a person who came in late and wanted so slowly look at EVERYTHING. But we had a nice chat and i told her about the gravestone in the local cemetery that says "Murdered by Capitalism". The cherry trees are all in bloom and the pink snow is building up in the streets. And this must be a record year for the California poppies as they are positively exploding everywhere.
Peps glad you got a good nap. Hope you feel better soon. Sick sucks.
Ocean Diane we love your FB stuff. Keep posting.
Cheers. Diane s
I can be a bit OCD about cleanliness at times but I do wait for my guests to leave before I start putting the sheets and towels in LOL. I like to get laundry done but I like to do it once a week only!
