Good Morning All- Public Holiday here so we are making the most of it. Heading over to DSD soon to see their new pergola then they will follow us to DSS- we are bringing homegrown sausages for lunch- served with onions n homemade sauce. Yum. I made a mieze cherry cake last night for afternoon tea. DSS is doing dinner for us
We will plan the accomodation for our holiday with DSS & his family. I want to do some planting with the grandbabies & will be content just to spend time with everyone.
I had best run n get packed as we leave in a little over 30 mins
Have a wonderful afternoon/evening all x

I was fortunate to receive my vaccine. As I've mentioned before, I was conflicted as to whether I should go ahead and receive it or not. I have asthma that is bad when it's bad. As defined by OKlahoma State Dept of Health, that is a comorbidity, qualifying me for phase 2. I'm just hoping that all the older adults have received it in phase 1!
I am very impressed with our vaccine rollout. A private citizen made a text-alert setup which gives real-time alerts as appointments open up.
Congratulations on getting the vaccine! I hope everyone has it soon.

We had a nice visit with my family for the most part. But my Mom is really fading and wanted to start a conversation with me about getting ready for what's to come. My Dad just can't, and kept interjecting, well, we don't know it's a tumor etc. I am at the point where I can listen. I did that 9 years ago when she was first diagnosed, we went through where she wanted to be buried etc., and I can do it again. So I told my Mom after her next vaccination, we'll sit down and she can tell me what she needs to say.
We watched the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry interview tonight. I don't know what I thought it was going to be, but it was so genuinely sad at many points. Another reminder that we never actually know what goes on in the depths of people's private lives.
Spring break in 3 weeks, and we're discussing if we should travel again. What would be different than our trip last week, would be the more contagious variant will have a stronger presence than February. I'll be fully vaccinated, but not DH. I am starting to obsess about this, so he said he would go get an antibody test if that would give me some comfort. If he had antibodies it would make me feel better. I understand that he could still get Covid, but if he has antibodies, it would seem unlikely he would get terribly sick.
Well here comes another work week. It was almost 60 today, and forecast is 65 on Tuesday. Must keep remembering, this is false spring, and just enjoy the moment.
