Weight 122.4. Today is going to be a low eating, no wine day!

I spent the day with Mike yesterday - kayaking, beach, walk and I cooked dinner. It was nice and my crab cakes came out well. I usually make 8, but made 16 but he helped me package them all up (I freeze them individually in baggies). I love these crab cakes and they are actually quite healthy (2 WW points, about 130 calories the way I make them).

Today is hair cut/color (yeah!). My hairdresser owns her own salon and is there alone. She doesn't go out much and we wear masks the entire time. So I feel much more comfortable than DD did yesterday. This afternoon I need to clear out while our housekeeper comes - maybe another beach trip if it isn't raining.

Have a safe and healthy day!

Back to overweight as I miraculously lost 3 pounds from yesterday. Bit it's way too close to obesity for comfort. My grocery delivery was a success. I think late night is the way to go.

Coffeeing up then off to walk. It's only 70 but 85% humidity makes it unpleasant! I'm hoping to make it a good eating day with tracking.

Hope you have good days too!

Still a little shook from yesterday's mask fiasco. Liz, like Massachusetts, there are pretty much no mask issues where I live. I know there are people who think they are useless, or a government overreach, but they comply with the mandate. It was like I'd traveled to another country.

Cecily, I'm impressed how you are getting out there in the high humidity. I like heat, but I don't usually go for walks. I like heat when I sit on my shady porch, or when I'm swimming.

My radiation appointment is at 12:40pm. Some days I can't believe I am actually doing this. Some days I feel weirdly lucky, because my story could be so different. Some days I look at my treatment as a to do list that needs to be checked off. And some days (okay, last night), I get out of bed at 2am, and make a strong rum and diet coke, because NOTHING else is working, and I'm tired of not sleeping. (That did in fact, work very well, but I realize that is something I can't do regularly).

I think one rum and coke the night before radiation is prescribed!

Good Morning All - Hump Day here YAY and tommorrow after work we leave for the farm. I cant tell you how excited I am :)

Had our second flu shots last night as directed by DH employer. There has been no flu this year due to extra distancing etc. The general recommendation is that people dont need a second shot this year and they have been refusing them but they did ours. I had no reaction to the first one in April but have a dead arm with this one. Will subside over the coming days

Tonight after work we have to pack the 8 x 5 trailer as we will tow it up to the farm tommorrow. A lot of the stuff in the garage down here is destined for the farm so we may as well start loading it and carting it up. The ultimate aim is to get my MG here from my mums so I can take it out more often. I need to go and grab some things for my mum - she saw some things in a catalogue this week and wants to start her christmas shopping.

Dinner is Spinach and Cheese Ravioli - I will make a creamy onion and roast capsi****auce - serve it with Garlic Bread. We are doing well at cleaning out the freezer.......

Our numbers are now in the 100's which is a huge difference from 700's a month ago. Sunday marks week 4 with hopefully only 2 more weeks to go till we can drop down to Stage 3- Im praying we transition to Stage 2 as quickly as possible so I can see our family again. We had a video call with the grandbabies last night as they got the parcel we sent and we watched them open it. It made my night

Well I had best start work. Enjoy getting your hair cut and coloured Liz

Love to all

Greetings All

Life is schlepping along here at a snail's pace but thats a good thing. I did the studio, stopped at the accountant and did the drug store which has become my variety store. K mart is closing which is amazing since they kind of have a captive audience. But there service was terrible and their stocking has been bad for years. Oh well.

I did the pool Sunday and had it all too myself. So sweet. There must be someone else exercising around there somewhere but not around me. One person was leaving the pool as I arrived and one showed up as I was leaving. Nice.

Liz love your adventures with Mike. Hope he is a keeper. Nice round of social events.

Diane M, you and DH sure are making the most of outdoor opportunities. Nice shelves and yard improvements.

Peps, bless you for taking the education of little ones with such gusto. You are no doubt the teacher that kids remember for a lifetime. And kudos for getting the elliptical and using it.

I made pot roast yesterday. No I am not a cook like Shirley - I bought a pot roast, put it in water and seasonings in the slow cooker and turned it on. The End. Dogs appreciate it.

And the snow peas keep coming. I don't think DH realized how many we would have. I took a pound or so today to a studio friend. You would have thought I brought her some gold doubloons! They have become like the proverbial zucchini which you can't get rid of. Except I wish someone would give me some.

DD a coke and whiskey is just the ticket at 2 am. We are thinking of you and your radiation and hope it goes well and is uneventful . Hope you won't be shy about demanding whatever is needed for your comfort. And boo on those people who were not wearing masks. Who do they think they are? At least the radiation place will be super careful about that stuff. Take care.

Still no fires here. A good thing.

I would greet a friend bearing fresh snowpeas with great enthusiasm also!!

The radiation team is absolutely awesome. I've been extremely fortunate to have really stellar health care providers every step of the way. I know that's not everyone's experience.
