I'm not sure I like the new font - I could always zoom if I couldn't read previously, but it is wrapping in strange places on my iPad.

Weight 126.2, WW Bluepoints 27. A bunch of those points were almonds which isn't the worse snack but adds lots of points quickly. The plus of them is that they usually aid my digestive system the next day.

I awoke to the dark this morning (ugghh), pierced by flashing emergency lights which then caused Justice to start barking. The man across the street with dementia was apparently taken to the hospital. DJ is in his nineties and has had fulltime care in his home for about 18 months now. He outlived my DH, but his world has gotten smaller and smaller. I always enjoy when he sits on his lanai and waves to me when I go by. He and DH used to walk the dogs together a couple of years ago.

Today there is nothing on the agenda and I hope it is warm enough for pool sitting.

Enjoy your day!

I walked in sunshine, both with and without dogs, for my hour of pleasure. As good as they are on lead, the sudden stops for intriguing smells and abrupt direction changes for squirrels impede my pace and peace.

Liz, thanks for mentioning the font change ! I was wondering what was wrong with my tablet, and moved to my office computer. We see the surgeon one last time today, and we'll be asking at what point elective surgeries could begin to be cancelled. Cleaning supplies and toilet paper are now being rationed in our area. We stocked up before things got crazy and we are easing into self-quarantine, avoiding close proximity at restaurants and events. We are both over 65, and though DC has more pre-existing conditions, I'd just as soon that both of us avoid this and any other virus. DD, I too have thought about learning that either of my DDs tested positive. Youngest works hands on with clinic patients and oldest interacts with students around the world on campus. Thankfully, her travel has been curtailed.

Feeling good again today. :) So glad I decided not to push my tired body so hard last week. I wound up missing only one yoga@home session, but walked 10K steps on 3 days last week. Apparently, it was just what the doctor ordered.

This morning's weigh-in is the lowest it's been in over a year and only 0.4 pounds above my VSG 100-pound weight loss. I'm hoping to make my WW weigh-in goal of 137.5 by Thursday. All I have to do is keep up my eating consistency for the next three days. Heck, I used to do this EVERY day EVERY week!

Last night after going to bed I had another one of those butterflies in the stomach anxiety moments that once again triggered the "Eat carbs!" reaction. Like the night before, I just lay there and breathed deeply. And again, the trigger passed. And again, I didn't eat. This is very interesting! Some people call this "surfing the wave." I think I'll just call it "breathing deeply." ;)

Sending out good vibes to all for a magnificent Monday.

Don't even want to know what the scales read this am (didn't like what I saw two days before and haven't behaved in any positive way to think I would be encouraged to see ...)

Yesterday was beautiful save winds 25+ a blowing all day long. Woke this morning to dreary cloudy rainy weather brought in by said winds. Just where are my galoshes? Grateful to have a dog that came equipped with a weatherproof coat!

Yesterday I took Swann to the "dog park" for the first time. While I have miles of open wonderfulness all around me, the best I can manage is 40 feet of lead. Swann's recall is nonexistent when given a choice of chasing (fill in the blank here-anything) and for love or money or any T-bone steak treat I may have to entice him--he will chose the chase. We have a fenced in yard, but I really want him to have the ability to truly run free....The experience was fantastic! There was only one other dog- a huge, bumbling, friendly young lab (accompanied by an equally delightful owner who took us step by step through the introduction process). The joy of watching the run and social play ---will definitely try this again.

Let the sunshine in today wether or if it around to be found--if not--make some. (She says to herself). Smiles to all.

Those dog parks are AMAZING, aren't they?! From time to time I visit a friend in Chicago who has two energetic, large dogs and lives a mere block from one of the city's best dog parks. My gracious ... when her dogs get to the park and see all their friends they are the happiest dogs in Chicago! So much excitement, sniffing, jumping, running, peeing, pooping! And then they come home and pass out.

I also have enjoyed meeting all the other dogs at the park and their owners. Everyone there is so nice. Apparently, that's one thing the world could use more of ... dog parks!

Dog parks with good owners are fantastic. Dog parks with less than stellar owners are a nightmare!

The Lab-lady was amazing! The whole experience could have been a U-Tube "how to do a dog park right" experience. I got the total lowdown on WWWW's dog combinations, best times, who to avoid...park etiquette- the whole bit. Wish this park was only a block away! No matter. Swann loves a car ride- great reason to go.

I am still a snotty mess, but feeling better. My blepharitis flare up with the cold seems to be on the mend, too. My eyes are still bugging me, but less so each day. Hoping by the end of the week to be feeling more like myself, be off the rescue inhaler, and a little less obviously symptomatic of flu like symptoms. I have a few friends in a literal panic about COVID-19. I'm not feeling cavalier about it, but I'm not overly worried either.

Today is DAY 1 of my sugar abstinence at school. I am prepared. I have jerky, cashews, hardboiled egg, yogurt, berries, an apple... I'm supposed to eat something satisfying (both emotionally and physically) when the sugar craving hits. It may hit today. It may hit tomorrow. It may not hit for a few days, but it will HIT.

I don't believe I shared with you that RD and I sort of agreed on a weight goal. I mentioned to her that I would just like to get under 200 pounds again. She said that was her thought for me, as well. From that point it'll be more of a decision and trial of what weight will really work for me. So, though I'm working mostly on sugar ingestion modification right now, I'm also needing to keep my head in the weight management game. I am thinking that my first goal will be to hit 259.9 and the next will be 250 or 249.9.

On the dog front, Dottie and pups are doing great. However, Ella is worrying me a bit. Her belly is swollen, she has diarrhea, and her appetite is not what it should be. Her liver numbers were off when she was spayed. These symptoms are all indicative of the onset of liver disease. Need to put a call into the vet.

Meet with the shrink today after school. Busy day. Thank goodness for Ron who will go home and do puppy duty!

Poor Ella! Are Airedales subject to liver disease?

Im glad you are finally getting better. The puppy birthing exhaustion probably made you succumb to that awful cold.

No, Airedales are not prone to liver disease. Top breed related illnesses are cancer, cardiac issues, kidney issues, and structural issues (hip dysplasia, spinal degeneration, etc...) As a matter of fact, in the almost 40years having the breed I have never had a dog with liver issues. I have known two females in the last 15 years to have liver cancer, but that's it. I'm doing my level best to "not go there", but the belly swelling is really worrisome.
