It started out sunny and blue today, but now is overcast- makes the world seem a bit colder place.
Happy Valentines Day to all--Why? Because we love you!
Uber long walk with the doglett; we found a hayfield/meadow with those really big round bales of hay scattered hither, thither, and yonder. Much attention was spent bounding like a Tigger with a pogo stick and In scoping out the hay for possible mice or whatever. Given a choice, Swann would be out there still.
It is so exciting and motivating seeing the progress being made! Well done all- yes, no matter where we're at, it's all good. I am working on solidifying an attitude that I call YIPPEE, building on Ann's pointing out the opportunities in having a daily do over. What a true gift that concept is. We always daily get to do! I started with Yippee- I get to start over- and have moved to Yippeee- I get a chance to do this right again today. No matter what comes, there's no failure involved---only gratitude in the opportunity to do.
Have a Yippie day!!!!!

3. Day. Weekend. The best feeling.
I've strung many good eating days together, but today was not one of them. Sweet and salty buffet at school. DH, bless him, bought me the prettiest little heart shaped box at Godivas, with just 4 pieces of chocolate. Perfect. And flowers. Also very perfect.
I once read that you're very fortunate if there is someone in your life who you can call at 2am to help you get rid of a body. Not very sweetly valentinish, but I can name a couple. BFF and I texted our Valentine's wishes to each other, and confirmed yet again , if needed, we'll be there with shovels. Must not think too much about her ex husband. It would be wrong to manifest that. (Kidding, almost totally, I mean, he's kind of a bad man...)
Off to downtowm Minneapolis in a bit. The friend we're going with texted to remind me that I should wear comfortable shoes that can have beer spilled on them. What have I committed to?
Another Fly by .... Trying to make it here daily
Went to a friends 50th from High School last night with 2 of my oldest friends. We had a great night. Laughed and laughed. Dropped my best friend home at 12.30am then DH and I hopped into the car and he drove to the farm. I slept pretty much the whole way. Arrived 4.30am n grabbed another 3 hours.
Have been busy this am. Had to re-tie the driveway trees- blown over during storms. Cows are being seperated. Todays the day the calves are gettibg weaned. Marcus the bull arrives in 1.5 hours- he will stay 2 months. Fencing this afternoon. I will sleep well tonight!
Better fly- here is a picture from last night
Happy VD! LOL
I have a 4 day weekend. Niiiiiiice......
Slept in a bit. Got a hair cut. Went to a nice little VD brunch with Ron. Got mama Ella all groomed up. Now she just needs a bath, a blow dry, and the final trim on legs and face. We have tickets to see a production of "The Devil's Music" which I am guessing is a one woman bio review of singer Bessie Smith. Looks promising!
B'day tomorrow. Feeling neither here nor there about it, which is not normal. I am ALL about birthdays generally. Not this year. Don't give much of a ****! LOL! I get from where the laissez faire attitude comes, so I suppose it's all okay.
Saw a bumper sticker on the way to the haircut. It read: Too old, Too fat, Don't care. Mine would read instead: Too old, too fat, HATE IT!
Liz, love your "last dance" post with Paul. It is absolutely lovely and such a nice tribute. Has the reality of his disease slowly started to take a back seat to the wonderful memories of your life together? I guess maybe it's a little soon, but I know it will happen.
Till next time....
